WOW! Definitely something to give thought to; especially the powerful statement..."Show me your father and I can tell who you are." God bless!~watching from Norfolk, Virginia~
Hmmmmmm deeper thoughts. Is a sermon on its own. If truly we are honest to ourselves. That's why we see lots of End time ministers. Wolves in sheep's clothing. Greater Grace in Jesus mighty name Amen shalom
I love the comments in the comment section, some really thought-provoking analysis. I know people have spiritual leaders in the church, but truly it is only God who can ordain a person if you ask me. No spiritual leader is perfect, and anyone who solely follows a spiritual leader is bound to end up in imperfect situations. Great video Flaming Sword Ministeries. More power to your elbows.
Hmmm this is the question and the cause of the problems in the body of Christ. The followers are not left out of the problem. This why the church has no voice any more. Leaders do all sorts to remain relevant. May the LORD heal His church. Thank you Flaming Sword for this important message, may it find its way to the church leaders by the power of the Holy Spirit. The church needs now more than ever before. God bless you.
Most times is not who ordained you, we have seen and heard things pastors from a very popular church owned by a popular gentle pastor who has no pride and has never been suspected to be adulterous, but some of his pastors are really not worth calling pastors. What matters is knowing Jesus & doing His will not who ordained you.
The question is not who ordained you but rather, who are you serving? Many ministers are loyal to their spiritual mentors but disloyal to their Maker. Who are you following? Christ or man? Bad fathers can produce both good and bad sons. Judas was with Jesus but he followed his evil ways, does that make Jesus a bad mentor? No, of course! Likewise, Abram's father was an idol worshipper but he followed God. So you can't always tell who people are by their father's.
In my opinion, both of them are wrong, They both have ego. The "Bishop" is unbelievably arrogant, while the other man was demanding respect; forgetting that respect is not forced out of people but earned. Its an African thing to be fighting to be respected. I understand we need to respect elders and give honour where its due. I get the message they are trying to pass across but the man dishing out advice is not righteous either, he was very much condescending. If God can mark iniquity who shall stand? We all need to be humble enough to give other people respect and even much more humble not to be demanding respect.
Spiritual father in the Lord thing is not from God, Jesus Christ never instructed to have a spiritual father rather we can have someone that we followed that shouldn't make him your spiritual father, Jesus is our only spiritual which we look up to
Was looking for this comment so that I don't have to type it. God is our Father as He clearly instructs us not to call any other Father.. Our natural Father and Our spiritual Father the great I AM.. And qe are to follow Christ only and not look to man as man will always fail
Many life lessons especially how to grow in faith and avoid frustration while waiting on the Lord for a miracle. More grace. Shalom.
