Love your videos, watching this from the year 2021. Crazy to see episode 9. I noticed one of the ibutton keys in a movie, and I had only seen them used on the old segways as the keys. Super interesting what these are really for.

Thanks man. We needed some of these and the websites that sell them are not very user friendly. We couldn't tell if we needed to buy software or if the free stuff ran out or what. This video stopped us tearing our hair out. Off to buy a starter kit.
Guys I've been looking for a project that an arduino is capable of reading/writing on a thermochron iButton for datalogger purposes. Could you help me? :D

You can do that with an avr dragon I believe.
I really need an answer probably an explanation on this question....can information inside an ibutton be modify and save back for future reading?
