    Finally, a video that solves the 'mystery' none of the Toyota manuals bother to explain. Thank you!

      No lie…..had a 2000 camry that featured a metal bar that totally looked like exactly where one would put a Jack
      Bent the bar that put a crease in the panel below my door and I was almost completely puzzled how that happened. Never again! Lol

    Best demonstration of exactly how to place the jack. I haven’t had to change a flat in years, and it was well worth watching.

    I thought the jack went between the two notches.... not on one of the two notches. Agreed that it took too long to show the process. Thank you for the tutorial Peter! Also, if you're changing the oil and go under the car, it would be great to see how to place a jack stand next to the jack for safety.

    What a lot of amateurs on YT fail to realize is that the jack is not supporting the vertical part of the pinch weld. It is supporting the inner horizontal frame at the base of the pinch weld. At 2:57 you can see this. So if you are using a trolley jack, you need some adaptor so you can support the frame.

    • @Rick-the-Swift
      @Rick-the-Swift 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also I should've pointed out, the video is very annoying in the fact that you never. explain or pan out to show whether you are working on lifting front, rear, driver, or passenger wheels. This is still probably helpful to those who don't mind straining to figure out what you're up to, but needless to say, if you are going to make the effort to make and publish an instructional vid, you could be just a bit more clear about the process. Hope that helps, take care now 🙂

    Don't listen to what this guy says, he'll get you killed, lol. Not that he even talks in the video telling you what to do anyway. He doesn't even put the Jack in the correct place. It's supposed to go between the two notches.
    And for further instruction for those who don't know what to do, it's supposed to be used in conjunction with a jack stand for safety also. Where is that?
    This guy has nerve to call himself the car doctor? Lol.
