96% of bad food reviews is because...
1 - karen didn't get her food in 30secs
2 - unrealistic high Gordon ramsay standards
3 - they went to India once for a holiday and now an expert on Indian cuisine
most bad ones are from other companies here, not even genuine customers
Very true. I'm not a foodie, nor do I like Indian food. There is an Indian joint over the road from my work that my clients don't like now, simply because one of the guys had his order screwed up once.

I love how chilled he is. Even letting the guy eat his food. He’s so chilled, so relaxed. Such good vibes.
I also want to add, the way he talks about the places are pretty well set. I like how he doesn’t belittle or laugh at anything bad, he gives honest yet positive advice… even if it’s absolutely terrible he still describes it in a way that if the business was watching, they could watch and take notes and wouldn’t be too offended.

To say that the Madras is "the worst thing I've ever eaten" after eating bugs last week in Vietnam made me laugh. Must've been awful!

Indians are the harshest reviewers haha. I think its because a lot of us have grown up having servants in the house, so some people feel entitled to a certain level of service.I went to a restaurant yesterday that was rated 2.9 on googlee, and it was one of the best indian meals i have ever had.
It's also rival businesses bombing each other, it's very funny

@@vella5124Maids and valets from lower socio-economic and/or uneducated backgrounds that tend to live with Indian and Pakistani families, they assist around the home and eventually become like family members themselves. Also a common practice in a lot of Arab speaking countries where Filipinos tend to travel to work.

The best curry I have ever eaten in my life in Sydney is Curry Palace in Neutral Bay. It’s just a small unassuming takeaway joint but the curry tastes perfect !!

I went to the Sehaj in Warriwood Square and the lady literally microwaved the chicken in front of me, added the butter chicken sauce and served it. Makes you wonder how they run a restaurant chain

I’ve sadly had the same type of Butter Chicken here in Brisbane many years ago, except it would’ve been Heinz Tomato soup they used (Australia’s standard tomato soup). But it was 100% a tin of tomato soup with some chicken mixed it. I never went back and they were out of business within a year. The owners were Caucasian so I always try to eat at an Indian restaurant that’s owned by Indians and has plenty of Indian customers. That’s been the safest method for me lately.

An Indian restaurant near where I live whose food was great. The owner was saying that his restaurant was review bombed by other Indian restaurants in the local area. He. Was still g he even had his takeaway menus stolen from the holder outside and dumped in the bin. His security cam caught it.

You could always get ya cameraman to go in and buy the food, that way you wouldn't have to worry about being recognised and getting better service or food than normal.
Was gonna say that Sehaj Nepean square is fine, one of the better food court style Indian restaurants in Penrith. Glad it held up. If it’s one of the worst rated then something dodgy is up with the reviews.
Went there a few months ago and the food was excellent.
It shows online reviews aren’t always accurate and maybe they should “reset” after 6 months.
There’s an Indian spot in Northmead, walked past one time and looked in and someone was changing their baby on one of the dining tables. Just had to put it out there

Been watching the series on and off for a couple months now
Been looking at doing road trips to small towns out and around New Zealand and trying some of the less rated ones while keeping that in mind.
Some people would be thrown off by a 2 or 3 star rating but you show sometimes reviews can be misleading and or things have changed.
Then again some places could just be inconsistent but definitely worth giving a try.
Looking forward to more of this series!

Yeah their spices and base is so good even the worst curries generally aren't that bad. Some of the best food on the planet

Bro, you need to go to India and have the Mutton Nihari from the actual old Delhi joints. They look dodgy but they're the places that are actually still authentic. Gotta say though, the Aussie ones look really healthy compared to what we would get in India. The amount of oil is enough to give you a heart attack but you'll die a happy man!
