You know at this point I think the master duel first hand stuff is really scuffed. A good 70% of the vids I've seen, the first cards on the deck list always seem to end up either in the first hand or being drawn into afterwards.

Interested to see how this will go after the mistake. In theory, whatever you pull from now on will always be worse, or rather, less in quantity, than your pulls from the first two episodes. It'll be hard to find a deck that could do better than what you currently have with only 10 packs. I predict that anything other than GeneTerror / Fire Fist will be suboptimal for about 4 or 5 episodes until things balance out naturally.
Eventually they will get access to the same secret packs again without crafting so it's as if they just got lucky and had the same secret pack unlocked the second week. And the crafting available for losers in the future will unlock one which can be the same as a previous one
The coaching from Dzeeff's chat was a little extreme. I know it happens in all yugioh media and honestly all games in general, but that one dude was taking it far and beyond.
He just needs to know what his cards do. That did disappoint me this episode, he still didn't know what his cards did even after the first episode. I mean of course we're all busy with life, but he plays yugioh partly as his side/ main income.

the rarities in this game are so wild. a somewhat competent archetype like marincess has 0 urs and a few srs but then a lot of extremely bad decks have multiple urs that they absolutely need to function and the rest is all srs and then you go back to look what the top decks have and see that bird up is like 4-5 urs and like 7 srs. evil eye would be so good if not for every single card being a super rare for no reason whatsoever.
Been enjoying the series. For the secret packs: if you wanna open the same pack next week you could craft an SR then dismantle it just to make the pack appear, or just open 10 master packs to make it random it's up to you. But I guess opening the same pack every week is too OP.
When I first played against Generaider and I had no idea what the deck did I just let my opponent terrarforming into the field spell since I wanted to save my Ash Blossom. I quickly realised that that was a bad idea. I actually was stunned how broken this deck felt with big monsters with great effects which could be activated with the basically free tokens. Then I destroyed the field spell and it was an easy win afterwards. Generaider is a very weird deck.
Playing Fire Fists is surprisingly simple. for the level 3 version: Rooster, Spirit and Ram for the level 4 version: Elephant + any other level 4, but it can also trigger the on-summon-effects, but at least one Bear and Gorilla for removal. Elephant is also necessary for the ritual build. One Buffalo is also nice to have. Ram can also be used for graveyard-setup. I also play one copy of Yoko in my Duel Links-deck. As for the trap cards, I only use Sinto and Tenken. The spells are the most relevant cards.
Feel like the pack mistake will make it hard to want to switch strategies from your starting deck But that would mean more Fire Fist, and that's good enough for me
I have no idea if this could possibly even happen but wouldn't it be cool to have some mini-collabs with other creators where they can stand-in or co-create or even just hang out, also on a side note it's the series is already a favorite of mine thanks a lot for your hard work (and wallets)
Fire Fist's best combo starters are actually non-Fire Fist cards. 3x Red Resonator and 3x Resonator Call were essentially the only way you could combo off ever since they were released in 2015, but the Tri-Brigades gave the deck more starters and a way to play through a single interruption. Panda is fine for now, but as your deck gets better Panda will start to be more and more of a detriment since it locks you into summoning Fire Fist cards for the rest of the turn. Red Resonator + Fire Fist Caribou is a pretty nuts play if you end up pulling Eagle and Rooster. That 2 card combo has been used to facilitate (inconsistent) FTK's, but usually ends on Apollousa for 3, Dagda, Tornado Dragon, The Fire Fist counter trap, the Ancient Warriors link, and with follow up plays ready for next turn. The deck flops to a single interruption until you add in Tri-Brigade cards. I know you probably won't end up pulling everything you need for a full power Fire Fist deck/extra deck, and there are way more consistent/less fragile decks out there, but it's a deck I like a lot, so I figured I should write this down since most people don't really know what direction to take Fire Fists and a lot of people still think of it as the boring +1 Fire Fist variant that was played in 2014
For that secret packs issue, I would say that, if you will open 10 master packs every week, for sure some secret packs will be unlocked doing that, so then each chooses a secret pack to buy the other 10 packs, this makes it more random, instead of just go and buy the same secret pack to make a good deck. (Of course this process would ruin the account , but if you are doing this I should expect that you already expect to not have a good collection in those accounts)
Great video! Wondering if you could do a video or acknowledge the legacy or "ticket system" in master duel. There are so many cards obtained by players that don't want to use them and they just sit in our inventory. It doesn't seem rewarding if we can't disassemble what we earn so we can craft what we want. KONAMI just repeated this not being able to disassemble cards earned for the XYZ event that recently surfaced. Thanks for your time! regards, a free to play user
well, it makes sense that the decks are already broken, since the only thing stopping you from just making a functional deck immediately is not being able to just keep opening more of the same archetype's pack.
i would like it better if you wait for your secret packs to run out as it gives a chance to make a different deck each week which is cool. Dzeff is proabably going to keep playing his deck as if the timer goes he can use 1 of his crafts on a card from the set and then open 10 of those again and make his deck stronger. Farfa could open 10 of master pack if he opens a guru or generaider improve that deck or if not he can unlock a new deck to start building and that could be a future option once you have enough cards so that it is better than geneterror

Please don't rush through the pack opening and decklist so much! Pack openings are fun, and getting an overview of your deck before the duel does a lot to boost enjoyment for those of us who are less familiar with the specific archetypes. The duels could stand to be edited down less as well. It's nice to see animations play out in full and to hear plays being discussed ahead of time. Most importantly though, please don't read twitch chat during duels. It really undermines the match when chat is just coaching both players. I really like this series in concept, and just smoothing out a few of these little things would do a lot for the viewing experience.

If you want a bit more variety, make a rule were you can't use the same deck twice in a row. So your forced to try to make multiple decks and go for multiple decks. Then evetunally you can't use a deck until you play other two decks. So if you ever have a final episode, you can have you guys play a series of duels with 3 diferent decks.
I honestly think that the Master Saga should be Opening 10 Packs for the Winners, but the loser can craft 2-3 Cards instead, for 2 Reasons: 1.) You can get a Guaranteed SR or UR for every 10 Packs. 2.) It saves both of your guys' Wallets more in the long-term.

Well, the difference is that Progression and all of Cimoooooooo's series are recorded offline, while Farfa is almost always streaming live.

No, the best way to build a collection is to stick to Secret Packs of archetypes you want to build, not Master Packs :)
