The "trick" here is the middle section. Due to roping the three digits making "eight" but totalling nine, are the same three digits within the corresponding "nine" (you cannot make 8 here so it must be 10, which determines everything).
Good job, Kathy! I will admit I had a 'hunch' near the end of my solve that helped resolve things correctly, letting me finish in 9:14 (conflict checker off), but it was only after my solve that I could rationalize what I did... oh well. 😅 Many thanks to Palfly for a great puzzle!
Solved in 9:17. I had the same idea with marking in color, but having watched all those hot cell/cold cell puzzles on CTC, I used red for up (i.e. hot) and blue for down (i.e. cold).
13:11 with no help. Bit confused in places , kept on trying to make the "correct" X - sums 😅. Knowledge bomb , 10 +- 1 is not 10 😜. Another neat puzzle by Palfly. Now to see if Kathy is going to do the same thing I did lol.
27:41 for me. Never seen this rule set before. At 17:45, the natural way to resolve the 9 would be to use roping with the 8. The 8 is either 315 or 324, the former doesn't work for the 9 whether it is 8 or 10.
Geometry and logic!!! Completed in 4m12s.

More excellent solving Kathy!! Joy seeing how much growth you have done on your channel!
Another lovely one from you Palfy
Yeah that step was definitely my favorite too X3
Always impressed with what you come up with Palfly!!! Your logic and setting continues to amaze me!

Lovely puzzle, twisting my melon 😅
Where does the name Knapp Daneben come from? I've seen it used a few times and it always sends me spinning.
@@MattYDdraig it's German for "close but not quite" basically
Guess you could use the old saying about horseshoes and hand grenades.
Neat puzzle tho.

Took me a bit, even with a program to show me valid x-sums for a 6x6.
