Bro! Would love to see you do more vids on Logic Pro X! This thing is vast and there is a lot of different ways to do one thing which gives you the option to pick which flows better for you. With your musical expertise if you mastered Logic it would be lights out. I’ve seen a lot of Logic tutorials but your teaching style would catapult the the community immensely
Change the key at the top transport next to the tempo Changing it will also transpose any loops you use that are saved as logic/ Apple Loops It will change the chord triggers as you where looking for.
Your key is at the that say cmaj. That the universal key adjustment. For loops that you drop in and add and such. In the midi grid on the left you should change the scale to match the master. So when write midi it will force the right key automatically. Even you write in the wrong spot it will move it to the right spot. As long as your scale is selected to the right and master scale. When you hit Q for quantinze it will correct all midi to the correct scale. The mixer is the x button. Dupilcate is command r. Cntrl S is save. Cntrl z. Is undo. If you right click the track. There is a lot of functions and it has the short cut keys.. it you want to fi d something just right click and it will show all you can do. And the question mark at the top left of your screen will help you along the way
@busy works beats Logic tip, When you kook in the top middle section you will find the bar, temp and time signature. Underneath the time signature it will tell you what key signature your loops , midi files and other will play and their derivative harmonies. To adjust the key, click on CMajor and the files you drag in will automatically snap to that key signature.
If you go into midi effects scroll down you'll see record midi notes and that will show you all the chord voicing, and as far the key it's on the Transport you have set on the default which is Cmaj.
My guess is that the key is C Maj because that's what Logics starts with automatically (key shown in the control bar). Changing the key setting may possibly change the midi chord trigger key as well. Scaler did show C Maj as an option as well along with other options since they share the same notes. Your samples will play in the key of your project as well by default.
if you add an instrument track then change it to external instrument in utilities and set midi destination to IAC driver, move the region and chord trigger effect to this track and arm your original track to record with no effects on it, it will record the midi data and you will have your chords laid out.
Yo, you unlocked so much for me by making a "mistake". The key is right there, but you used the scaler to find the key, which was C maj, but it heard it as A minor. The relative scale. Totally awesome.
You can option drag plugins on the mixer window to copy them between tracks also the duplicate track button is right next to the new track plus button in the top left corner. Also just hit command D with a track selected to duplicate it
It's actually very easy to create FL-style step sequencer drums in Logic, though unless you know how to do it to begin with, it's not intuitive. Here's what you've gotta do: Open the media browser (where you had the Michael Jackson kit), then create an empty software instrument track, and take your sample and drag it onto the track header (not the midi region part). From there various options will appear and you'll want to choose "Drum Machine Designer". Then take all your samples and drag them into the same track the same way, and it will auto-map them. Then in the group (or "track stack" as logic calls them), you create a pattern region by right clicking and selecting the appropriate option. From there, it's just a step sequencer like FL.
By the way, I still use your Music Theory Chord Codes. I teach new beginners 0-4-7 for any major chord and 0-3-7 for any minor chord. The best system. Thank you for that.
To duplicate a track press the small plus sign at the top of your window, it will duplicate the track along with all the plugins. To find your sounds your screen is on full screen, just leave it normal size and you should see your library top left. Use quick sampler to load your own drums or use ultrabeat. Just a few quick tips for you.
Command + D to easy duplicate track quick sampler for piano roll but if he wants to use step sequencer I would open drum machine and load my samples on that then you don’t even have to change name it will be called after the sample name
How to copy FX to another track in LOGIC: pull up the mixer, select the plug-in you want to copy over and press hold option or ALT to copy it over. Boom it’s done 👌
Try adding a transposer after the chord trigger to set the key. Then scroll to the bottom of the midi fx menu you choose record from midi effect slot. Then you will record the actual chords played by the chord trigger through the transposer.
@@busyworksbeats you can also just add scaler to a midi fx slot and record from that slot when you play the chords from a midi keyboard or the built in laptop keys. Then you add any plugin you want to the instrument slot to use those sounds.
You can record the midi from the chord trigger as full chords and not just the single notes on the chord trigger track. Create an external midi track and select the IAC driver (if on a Mac). Move the chord trigger to the IAC driver track and record arm your instrument track. Hit record and the midi is recorded to your instrument. Hit me up and I can explain it better.
close the window on the right where your sounds are... then you should see the snap button....as you select snap a dropdown window should open then select snap regions to absolute value...snap would be just above that yellow loop line
You should’ve done this on a “live”, im sure there’s a ton people yelling at the screen how to do the things you’re having trouble with or dont know how/why Logic does/dont do something youre looking for.
Just assume for everything you had an issue with there is a way to do it… because there is. It’s only frustrating because you are new to Logic but it’s such an easy DAW to use. Like all DAW there are hidden gems or even just a “this is how” to it. But I hope you do more Logic stuff
One thing. Tell me why with such quality beats and such a musical feeling you don't have your own songs? I want to listen to your tracks Bro. Everyone dreams of being an independent artist... and you have all the tools.
We are here for all the struggle logic videos, however there are tons of videos on how to do drums. If you are to continue the struggle watch some before you do your next logic vid, that way there is a basic understanding...jus saying. Within logic there are many ways to do drums especially if you are using samples.

Agreed
I’ll add more videos , more tutorials specifically soon

At 14:34 I was like "Man, he really needs to see the Quick Sampler."
logic is a beast. especially if you're moving or joining it with FL. you can literally use FL as a vst plugin within it as well.
My guess is that the key is C Maj because that's what Logics starts with automatically (key shown in the control bar). Changing the key setting may possibly change the midi chord trigger key as well. Logic mad underrated and drum lit designer slept on😊
DMD is killin. Im bringing all my MPC samples over to it.

Keep your finger on option and double click the midi track to make the piano roll max on the screen
the project key can be found at the top in the transpose area i think,
've been using logic for years.I'ts fire, you'll get the hang of it. It's more professional and open.
By the way, I still use your Music Theory Chord Codes. I teach new beginners 0-4-7 for any major chord and 0-3-7 for any minor chord. The best system. Thank you for that.
I NEED A ONLY LOGIC WEEK OR MONTH
Please do more tutorials on Logic Pro and how you can work with FL in Logic... Thanks in advance
Check out I am Mogul, hes the best a Logic Pro music production.

Whatever is highlighted is where the plug in will go, thats why the chord trigger was messing up. I think
Great vid man. Thanks to you I'm giving retro synth another chance...
11:15 you actually were looking right at the duplicate button its just called "New Track with Duplicate Settings" or just "COMMAND D to DUPLICATE"
You can record the midi from the chord trigger as full chords and not just the single notes on the chord trigger track. Create an external midi track and select the IAC driver (if on a Mac). Yo I lowkey like watching you struggle w logic. Sometimes you lose me how fast you go in flstudio! 😂👍
Use drum machine designer you can load it the same way you loaded the quick sampler. Drum machine designer is like fpc
close the window on the right where your sounds are... then you should see the snap button....as you select snap a dropdown window should open then select snap regions to absolute value...snap would be just above that yellow loop line
Also Logic as a capture record mode, the red dotted button right to the record button can be used. For ideas played and wished you recorded.
New track with duplicate setting and the step sequencing - you can “stretch loop” one patter
You should’ve done this on a “live”, im sure there’s a ton people yelling at the screen how to do the things you’re having trouble with or dont know how/why Logic does/dont do something youre looking for.
It’s not the fastest but it sounds the best stock.
I wonder if they keep udpdating it or they abonded the daw?
Can you review the free DAW zenbeats by Roland please?
Just assume for everything you had an issue with there is a way to do it… because there is. It’s only frustrating because you are new to Logic but it’s such an easy DAW to use. Like all DAW there are hidden gems or even just a “this is how” to it. But I hope you do more Logic stuff
Yes can you do more Logic Pro videos
Logic is actually the greatest
the key is next to the tempo
they have "drum designer " where you can make own kits with samples
Maybe it sounds weird to say this about a DAW, but I genuinely think Logic X is a masterpiece of software
It sounds impeccable
Yes, but i hear it has lot bugs and developers dont fix? IS this future proof daw?
One thing. Tell me why with such quality beats and such a musical feeling you don't have your own songs? I want to listen to your tracks Bro. Everyone dreams of being an independent artist... and you have all the tools.
I make songs in almost all my videos but I had an album listed, just took it down. If I feel motivated, I'll do another album
Uhhhhh idk what things do, my brain is too small for this stuff.
Oh game, we almost 1.000.000 😎👍🏾
Can it wirk for windows
more logic tutorials!
Bro LPX has info feature that tells you everything you need to know!!!
The browser is time synced when the play head is moving. It is one of the most annoying things.
Crazy annoying lol I get it if we use loops but not with one shots lol
It’s better than it used to be. It used to not play 32bit files at all.
How many DAWs you use bro?
Idk at this point lol
Option drag to duplicate
Oh dear !
Bro. If u learn logic, i SWEAR u'll leave FL. u just dont mmow how to use n navigate 😂😂😂... when loading instruments is literally DRAG N DROP....2EZ
why you producers always clip the drums?
Sounds good 😎
We are here for all the struggle logic videos, however there are tons of videos on how to do drums. Not gonna lie as a logic producer this video triggers me a bit😂
No, really???!!! It is???!

To be honest you might want to familiarize yourself with the software before doing a tutorial/review...
😂
