are you some pro film maker, im just at loss for words and totally stunned that some ramdon youtube video with minor views just gave me deepest chills with the highest quality and best drone video ive ever seen since
Nailed it! The shot at 2 minutes is just outstanding. Obviously great surroundings, but great framing, camera settings, editing too. Thanks for sharing.
An understandable comment, but the X5s is one of the finest aerial cameras on the market. When shooting in ProRes or DNG it has been favourably compared to the Alexa.
Howard Rockliffe well after seeing other sample videos this one was just so much better. I think the colorist also did an excellent job and used the full 12 stops of dynamic range here. Also I thought that this was the new x7 since it has 14 stops.
What an unbelievable video guys! Could you sort of explain how did you color graded your footage? I'm trying to achieve a similar result but I haven't been able to do it. Thank you!
May I ask which lenses you used. I see what looks like a 12mm Olympus for the really wide shots (nice). Could you provide some shot info? Thanks again.
This is A1 stuff. And a very beautiful country and area you have failed. I am curious did you film this it prores4444, dlog? Which lut did you apply before color grading?
Here in the US-SR (United States of Serious Restrictions) we've got altitude limitations. We can fly 400' OVER the tops of mountains, for example, but could not technically cross a valley 1500 feet over the terrain, without permissions. I am sure this doesn't stop some people, but with examples of the FAA watching TH-cam for violations and coming after people for such things, makes the public display of the best shots (like over-flying freeway systems, over-flying cities, high-altitude shots, shots over crowds, and many other examples of the most stunning videographer masterpieces) tantamount to putting our careers and (financial security ... if we ever had any) at risk. Love the shots! First rate. Now, please report to the court summons in Rome where we'll discuss your fine! : )
Much of what you say is true, I have to say the general restrictions here in Europe make sense, there is a lot of consumer drone flying here, much of which would be extremely dangerous if it wasnt strictly controlled. As a proffesional with the correct qualifications and depending on the country you can still do most of the shots you neeed if you choose your take off and equipment carefully. For example: With new long lenses and starting in the correct location (in this case walking up very high) you can nearly always put the drone in a legal position and get shots without breaking the regulations, its just a lot more effort, but also part of the fun. eg the last shot in the film looks epically high but the drone was never more than 150m above ground, you just have to fly the contours. mountain shots are actually quite easy as there is always a ridge or peak nearby that you can fly over, just pick the right lense!
I do try to set up shots "within" regs. However, when you look at shots coming out of Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and some European nations (like Spain), etc., you see lots of those sorts of shots one cannot get here, legally, without time-consuming exemptions (that likely would not be granted). It's too bad that a few irresponsible people spoil it for others. However, if you think back, it was ONE OF OBAMA'S OWN agents that flew that first Phantom over the Pentagon lawn, initiating a furor in the media and the FAA's expedited actions. This was true politically-motivated manipulation! Transparent to one with 'eyes to see.' Anyway, Great soundtrack as well as nice shots. Really enjoyed your footage. Warmest regards and safe skies!
how is the low in this region? does it limit you effectively? did you have to ask for permission? (btw. im located in Hungary) did you shoot all of it early morning and golden hour? wonderful images!
You can`t fly in Austria without a permit which takes 6 weeks and costs around 300 euros, then you still need permission if you fly near the CTR around airports. inform yourself before flying as the fines are heavy. We shoot normally early mornings and evenings, but in Autumn the light is good much of the day. Havn`t tried the zoom lenses, sorry.
Wow, this is gorgeous!! Just extraordinary! Have u shared your work on the drone site AirVuz before? If not, u should ✔️ them out. I think it’s the top spot on the web for drone vids and enthusiasts.
