Are you supposed to use the spring on the suppressor when attaching to the banshee? I'm not familiar with the gun or the suppressor but I thought the guideline was to used a fixed barely spacer or fixed mount on suppressors when attaching to a non-tilting barrel.
No, it's not a good idea to keep the spring because it may lead to baffle strikes... though it seemed to be fine with the spring in, so it doesn't seem to really matter for that particular setup.
Your subsonic rounds seems or audibly appears to be still breaking the sound barrier… it’s probably the ambient conditions you are in and that the suppressor seems to be adding a bit more velocity to that subsonic rounds as you are using them on short barrels. Experienced small simple designed silencers outperforming bigger intricate designed silencers not side by side but because of different ambient temperature conditions lowering the bullet speed needed to cause that sonic crack.😊
Holup. @7:00 he says that subsonic rounds require higher pressure because they are heavier? and that the weight of the bullet being greater absorbs more of the energy from the gases so that the dissipation is less violent. (paraphrased for clarity). none of which is true. subsonic rounds are heavier but move slower so in general the gas pressure is the same. unless the chamber isn't sealed the gases behind the bullet dissipate exactly the same rate when exiting the barrel regardless of bullet weight. only a suppressor or the powder charge can affect that. Both gas pressure and recoil need to be within normal values. Too low and the weapon won't cycle properly. Too high and the weapon will take damage.
Would that hearing protection work for a concert ? I work security in barricades n pits next to the loud speaker n sub woofers, that wouldn’t amplify that right ?
Which one would you recommend for a home defense setup? I’m thinking a CMMG Banshee 45 would be a nice setup with a can. With the cost of 300 blackout is the sound significantly better than 45 ACP?
It's funny how in European countries with way stricter gun laws, suppressors are highly advised to be used or even required for some weapons. It's almost like those writing our gun laws have no idea what they're doing
The gun industry hurts itself with it’s own terminology. They should quite calling it a silencer and refer to it as a suppressor, which is more accurate.
You people crack me up. Funny thing is people who actually own "suppressors" don't care. Most people buy them or their dealer buys them from a company named SilencerCo. And Maxim called them Silencers too.
If you want to be the most accurate, it's a muffler. Maxim invented both the firearm silencer and an automobile muffler and they are basically the same technology. Fun fact, in many places in Europe, mufflers are called silencers.

Man just want to say I love your videos and how much detail you explain to break everything down very educational thanks
Genuine question… why isn’t the stock completely against his shoulder? Is that a technique
I agree about unregulated suppression it’s just like running a comp but heavier cause it’s not the world’s most silent firearm (De Lisle carbine or Welrod.) needless to say a sniper wouldn’t use a suppressor either the types of cartridges precision rifles use can’t really be suppressed yet today effectively.😂
I see a GEMTECH and I want it painted blaaacck!! Hah! Love that song!
Some phone apps are pretty good. Obviously, they won’t be calibrated, but all you are looking for is comparison information. Give them a try. How quiet is the 450 Bushmaster silenced?
What is the shortest and quietest system you would recommend for home defense?
IM so excited I literally just got my 300 Blackout in yesterday. It was just an affordable one Radical firearms nothing special but she seems to be well made 300 blk is Just a genus caliber so sick.
NeXT will be w 350 legend 🔥. Have a look at that ammo it’s Like s mini elephant round. Then the 450 bushmaster is Like the other on steroids
That Nemo Battlelight is awesome! How about a suppressed NEMO BATTLIGHT for the next giveaway? I love the aesthetics of that AR.
He is supposed to be using a fixed barrel spacer. That's not good.
What sight and scope set up do you have on your first set up?
300 blackout is superior to 45. It is perfect for home defense.
i agree 1000 percent to 1:15 in the video
This was really interesting. I need to step my game up after watching this.
It's funny how in European countries with way stricter gun laws, suppressors are highly advised to be used or even required for some weapons. It's almost like those writing our gun laws have no idea what they're doing
it's a legacy law. Because of organized crime (mafia). It's not something which was made up last year.
Am I too late for the 50 bmg 😅. I know I’m late but you just got a new subscriber because I just learned a lot from you!
Totally agree with all gun regulations being infringements
Great Video. AAC 300 Blackout, What Else. If I Get My Tax Stamp Back in My Lifetime. Gotta Crappy Heart!!!!
The gun industry hurts itself with it’s own terminology. They should quite calling it a silencer and refer to it as a suppressor, which is more accurate.
The inventor named it a silencer. Therefore it is a silencer. The term suppressor is easier on the ears of snowflakes.
Is it Kleenex or facial tissue?
You people crack me up. Funny thing is people who actually own "suppressors" don't care. Most people buy them or their dealer buys them from a company named SilencerCo.
And Maxim called them Silencers too.
If you want to be the most accurate, it's a muffler. Maxim invented both the firearm silencer and an automobile muffler and they are basically the same technology. Fun fact, in many places in Europe, mufflers are called silencers.
I just call it a can , much easier to spell,
Late to the party, what’s the suppressor on that battle-light? I know yankee hill but I couldn’t tell if it was their suppressed upper receiver group or something like the resonator r2, thanks
My .308 M24 is amazing with the HUXWURX 7.62TI Can. With subs you truly only hear a “click”.
Which Yankee Hill suppressor is on the 300 Blackout that you're using?
What is the quietest suppressor for the 300 blackout on the market?
I'd love to see a H&K Mark 23. Lock the slide and its really quiet.
How do you hook that up on a barrel of a regular 9 mm beretta without modify the gun
Nice man. Your set up is great.
I'd like to see a comparison of 300blk subsonic vs 350 legend subsonic.
350 quieter but can't find an AR pistol chambered in it
350 subsonic is not quieter than 300 blk subsonic
I love how he looked at his BRACE....LOL.....LMFAO
That 50 cal looks awesome
Thank you for this video and the break down of how the suppressor works!
Try some 9x39 SP-5/SP-6 ammo. These are for VSS/AS-Val. You’ll be surprised a lot
HIlarious that this was during a time when the ATF was trying to convince people that they couldn't shoulder "pistol braces". My, how far we have come.
I remember never shooting my pistol brace guns like that. Also, it’s wild hearing the buffer spring over the rest of the action moving.
That’s an insane suppressor design
It makes me sad that the best country in the world doesn't let us have suppressors without tax and going thru the NFA😢
