Regarding increasing divorce issue... From What I have observed amongst my family and friends.... We have lost family and moral values.... The adults don't act like adults... So how can we expect their children who are getting married to be mature.....Jub bahu lae ke ayein Ziayada kuch na karein bus Insaan ko Insaan samjhein... Have Empathy for each other as a spouse... Have respect for your spouse... This is for husband and wife both.... Aj kul lerki an bardaasht nae kerte like our mothers did.... We need to raise better men...... Also at the same time... Parents of girls and boys both need to teach them the value and importance of keeping a sincere and healthy relationship... And extended family members need to stop interfering in their children's everyday lives.... We need to review and fix our cultural norms if we want our upcoming generations in Pakistan to have good relationships with their spouses.

Agreed 💯. Every marriage is different and you never know what happens behind closed doors. How much the man or the woman is suffering and when there are children involved by remaining in toxic marriages you are raising children to see and believe that the behaviour is “normal”! They will Also go on to treat their husband or wife the same way they have seen Their parents behave and the cycle of bad marriage will never end. I’m not advocating divorce but it’s easy to judge. Look at Nadia Khan she is a perfect example of a happier second marriage and children benefiting from a secure step father rather than seeing their mother stay with a man who was not treating her right. Divorces are now increasing because women don’t and quite rightly shouldn’t put up with behaviour where our grandmothers and mothers would have.

Marriage itself a life turning point for both of spouses, they should understand, this relation needs extra-ordinary efforts. You have to do compromises, have to suppress your freedom to some extend, have to review your opinions again and again. Mental health set ho jati hain usually agar hum kuch chezon pr ego ko chord kr halat ko accept kr lain. Some extreme cases mea obviously divorce ultimate hoti hai. Yaqeen manay i've seen people jo forced marriages ko b nibha jatay hain, kuch chezain woh Allah k liyea, bade k ajar k liyea bardasht kr jatay hain. I have not seen this kind of response in other Muslim communities including Arabs.This is mostly a southeast asian response. Less divorces are not synonymous with good marriages, the entire process from choosing a spouse to the wedding events , living situation and everything there on in southeast asian marriages is set for failures. The only reason they were lasting in the past was silence in the face of oppression. We should be happy that we are not tolerating bad marriages anymore. However I completely agree that commitment should be taken seriously and every possible effort should be made to continue the partnership. Again if eventually a relationship does end we should refrain from victim blaming (because even when someone divorces for the best reasons , it hurts and there is a long healing process, in most cases the persons involved are already going through guilt, social isolation and dealing with snarky comments from people around them including the never ending inquisitive questions) As far as the children concerned ---who's stopping parents to continue to be parents? Yes but that doesn't happen in pakistan , so maybe we should be focusing on healthier divorces where you still are able to communicate in a civil manner and co-parent , divorces should not be violent. Once again what affects children is BAD MARRIAGES, TOXIC DIVORCES , MUDSLINGING not simply ending a relationship which has not been healthy.

Amma you have brought up momin so well, MA his thinking about divorce issue is 100% right, He is giving best example that it’s good we should be vocal about rights and independence but that doesn’t mean you should get divorce after some disappointments to each other. Yes maybe someone will say conservative to me and momin but you should read islamic perspective also, Only islam was the religion who allowed divorce even allowed to women, but in very dirty circumstances, like if your husband beats you or if your wife cheats on you and doesn’t repent etc. In recent divorces of celebrities i just fond feroz and alizay divorce reason genuine, here divorce should be an option. But in other celebrities case, there is no violence, no cheating don’t know why they got separated.

One lady judge said in Milad with tears that please don’t go for divorces as these days divorce cases are 4 to 5 times more and children of those couple fall into depression as those children are literally been pulled and they cry to have both, it’s traumatic for anyone who sees it, patience is the key. So how can we expect their children who are getting married to be mature.....Jub bahu lae ke ayein Ziayada kuch na karein bus Insaan ko Insaan samjhein... Have Empathy for each other as a spouse... Have respect for your spouse... This is for husband and wife both.... Aj kul lerki an bardaasht nae kerte like our mothers did.... We need to raise better men...... Also at the same time... Marriage itself a life turning point for both of spouses, they should understand, this relation needs extra-ordinary efforts. You have to do compromises, have to suppress your freedom to some extend, have to review your opinions again and again.
Mental health set ho jati hain usually agar hum kuch chezon pr ego ko chord kr halat ko accept kr lain. Some extreme cases mea obviously divorce ultimate hoti hai. Yaqeen manay i've seen people jo forced marriages ko b nibha jatay hain, kuch chezain woh Allah k liyea, bade k ajar k liyea bardasht kr jatay hain. Aur aisay bhi dekhay hain jo biwi khana acha nahi banati or husband achi nokri nahi dhond paya in baton pr gher tor leytay hain. Marriage means it comes with unlimited responsibilities for both, you have to have patience and faith in Allah.

I have not seen this kind of response in other Muslim communities including Arabs.This is mostly a southeast asian response. Less divorces are not synonymous with good marriages, the entire process from choosing a spouse to the wedding events , living situation and everything there on in southeast asian marriages is set for failures. The only reason they were lasting in the past was silence in the face of oppression. We should be happy that we are not tolerating bad marriages anymore. However I completely agree that commitment should be taken seriously and every possible effort should be made to continue the partnership. Again if eventually a relationship does end we should refrain from victim blaming (because even when someone divorces for the best reasons , it hurts and there is a long healing process, in most cases the persons involved are already going through guilt, social isolation and dealing with snarky comments from people around them including the never ending inquisitive questions) As far as the children concerned ---who's stopping parents to continue to be parents? Yes but that doesn't happen in pakistan , so maybe we should be focusing on healthier divorces where you still are able to communicate in a civil manner and co-parent , divorces should not be violent. Once again what affects children is BAD MARRIAGES, TOXIC DIVORCES , MUDSLINGING not simply ending a relationship which has not been healthy.
