Hi Ken! Mike here. This'll probably post under some random name since I don't have a TH-cam account anymore, but thanks for spotlighting my games! If I remember correctly, there's actually a different password at the end of each of the first three games, and you'd enter them each at the startup screen of part 4 to unlock them all. I don't remember a lot beyond that, such as if you have to beat each of the "unlocked" levels to get the final ending, or what. I too am a lifelong Doctor Who fan, and as a bit of trivia, it's Tom Baker as the 4th doctor "starring" in these games; at least, in my head canon since that's what I grew up watching (and later reading). The new stuff is great too, but I've got a gap where I never watched 5th, 6th or 7th (although the older stuff, I did see retroactively back when Netflix was still sending out discs). Anyway, fun video! And saying they're tough is putting it mildly. They're downright unfair, but as you say, maybe worth a look.
If you do, I bet you'd be the only person (other than me, forever ago) to actually do it. I suspect way before that, you'll already have thrown your controller in frustration and issued a few choice curses at me though. It's probably not worth the stress.@@CanadianRetroThings
I never played any DR. who games on the C64 back in the day. They just weren't around. The only one I remember was a fan based one with Daleks on the PET
None of these would have been officially licensed Dr Who games even tho they were sold by actual companies. Official licensing wasn't always followed back in the day.
I am surprised Country roads was the music too in the Prickly-Pear one... I wonder if somebody hacked that in after the original release? Seems an odd choice.
I agree, very odd choice. There was a text file with the game that said the original game was on cassette and included the Country Roads music file. (Allen Huffman made the test file so he might know more about it)
Also, I wrote back and forth with the author… need to see if I still find those letters. He explained why the tune was used. I think this is what prompted me to make my Doctor Who demo which had a crude logo and a version of the theme song I put together by ear using Musica.

Interesting, now I will have to beat them all to see the end of the 4th one!

Neat! Thanks for taking us on a little tour of these Dr. Who games on the coco.
Now I want to look at Dr Who games on other systems, I might have to do a video on that!
Another great video... and no Daleks game for the CoCo? I thought there was a version of that for everything!
There may be more games, these are just the ones I was able to find!

Exactly this. Intellectual Property? What's that? What do you mean I can't just make my own? :)@@CanadianRetroThings

Hmmm didn't know there was a Dr Who game for the CoCo
Hmmmm Game On Game? :D
It could happen.... 😃

Who who who Merry Christmas!
And a Merry Whomas to you!
Sorry Ken, but your walk style is not British enough to be on Doctor Who... LOL
I could be a bad guy, non British people are always bad guys, aren't they?
