Interesting story, i met Mortem in a pub in Hampshire, UK back in late 90s. Nice but shy guy. Spent an hour with my friends and his entourage over a couple of pints. Decent down to earth bloke.

Hello and thankyou for reacting to take on me by A-HA. Ive been an A-HA fan for the past 38 years now and this song started it off. It was released in 1985 and still is one of the most influential videos ever made. It was made using a technique called rotescope and there were 14,000 hand drawings in it frame by frame plus live action too. A-HA are a criminally underrated and unappreciated band that consist of three men who can play numerous instruments and write all their own music. They come from Oslo, Norway. They have a huge back catalogue of music that is constantly changing and evolving and have released 11 albums. Their last album was released last year 2022 it’s called true north and the guys are in their early 60s now but still making music. I hope you’ll react to more A-HA. The keyboard riff in take on me was written by the keyboard player alongside the guitar player in A-HA when they were both 13 years old and in their first band called bridges. The music video to this song was ground-breaking for the time. The "sketch" portions were first filmed live-action, and then artists went back and painstakingly sketched every individual frame in a process called roto-scoping.

I originally heard of this group when they were listed in Guinness World Records for one of the highest attended concerts. If I remember reading correctly, it was for the show they did at the Rock in Rio Festival in Rio de Janiero, Brazil in 1990. I don't know if they still hold the record though. It was later on that I saw this video.
