Great video. Question about the route taken. Why is there such a large body of water around the 1 hour 30 minute mark? I’d imagine the whole flight to be taken over the interior of Australia if flying from Perth to Sydney.
That would be the Great Australian Bight. I'm pretty sure the northern most point of the Bight is further north than Sydney's latitude making flying over the Bight a more direct route than totally overland. Thanks for watching!
Hi there, yes the entire flight is recorded & shown on this video. Flight times from Perth to Sydney can be much shorter than flights in the opposite direction due to the prevailing winds that blow from west to east at higher altitudes. According to Flightradar24 this flight achieved ground speeds in excess of 560 knots where our flight to Perth could only manage a top ground speed of just over 430 knots in comparison. Thanks for watching!
I just subscribed, and I really appreciate the sumary of the flight times and events. Did you get to eat, and what did you have, if I may ask? I always love to know about that, too. Thanks so much in advance.
Hi Heather. I did get to eat & ordered a chicken lettuce & mayonnaise sandwich from the economy in-flight menu. I'm glad you enjoyed the upload. Thanks for subscribing!

@@windowseatgazing ah yes. Hadn’t thought that Perth and Sydney are almost parallel so flying over the Bite makes sense.
Wow awesome video impressed you could keep the recording going that long without the camera overheating!
Glad you liked it!
This flight looks very short for that distance did you record it all ??
