I am so disappointed with this Arise media panel to note that they would argue in support of the establishment of American military base or any foreign military base for that matter on Nigerian soil no matter the situation in Nigeria. I would have believed that they were well versed with what has been happening around them and around the world with regard to super power military bases in African countries. American military base in Nigeria would simply mean occupying Nigeria militarily and otherwise. Nigerian military would become powerless and irrelevant and their space would become part of America which Nigeria would no more control of her territorial integrity. Why are other African countries now struggling to get them out of their own countries if they were of any benefit to them? West's military base in Nigeria is not a free lunch. Their intention coming to Nigeria is not for fighting terrorism, that is political.
