- I take a walk through Downtown Miami and Brickell on a Friday Night. Brickell is often synonymous with Miami's Financial District. Brickell is named after William & Mary Brickell, who owned a large portion of land and contributed to the foundation of Miami. I walk through this trendy are where there are luxury condo buildings, restaurants, and rooftop bars. Many people dress fashionably and out to socialize.
