Necro is great. He and Alex defined SF3 for me. I hope Necro gets to return like Alex did. I'd love for his theme to combine elements of this and Snowland from Third Strike.
I liked Necro too man, specially cause he was a combination of Dhalsim and Blanka and I hate both of those characters (people only like them because of nostalgia)
Comparing this and NG version is kinda almost like comparing two different song. They resemble one another, but the music's so different even when the base is the same, you get the feeling that these are two different tracks.
Everyone is busy fighting over whether 2I or 3S had a better OST, but I can still say that I find the majority of remixes in 3S Online Edition as pretty trashy.
It's true that the soundstracks weren't really suited for fighting games because they lacked the upbeat feel to it but I still find that the soundtracks were altogether just more enjoyable than 2I. Jazzy style was the fighting game norm at the time (like mvc2)
STREET FIGHTER III 2nd IMPACT GIANT ATTACK ORIGINAL SOUND TRACK Get On a Train (Drum & Bass Mix): Siberian Railroad - Necro Stage Composer: Yuki Iwai Arranger: Hideki Okugawa Genre: Drum and Bass
Are you still on crack?! Third Strike was amazing. Just listen to Akuma's Killing Moon and Gills Psych Out. The end roll is also a great piece of music.
I love all 3 equally for different reasons. I agree that this game has better themes for specific characters & vice versa. I wish there was a way to merge the best of all three into one sf3 game. Including the stages so you can switch it up on the fly.
How was third Strike better? Atleast ken and Alex don't share the same STAGE AND MUSIC in second impact everyone had their own shit no repeated stages and repeated music developers got lazy on new generation and third strike
Ryu and Ken actually had the same theme and a similar stage in New Generation. While its true that Alex and Ken have the same stage, their fights take place at 1:31 AM and 9:26 PM, respectively. The stage is the same only in place, not time.
The 2I ost on arcade sounds pretty great and a lot of songs are good for fighting. 3S arc OST has bad quality compared to 2I and isn't really good music for a Fighting Game (except for Killing Moon)
The third strike soundtracks have moved on from their "classic style" and went to a more hip-hop/jazzy style, like in most games from the 90s. Honestly the soundtracks after and before third strike have nothing to offer compared to how good they were.
this beat is so unorthodox and crazy i love it
dolo747 Like Necro himself
Sounds like what I could picture fitting in a DarkStalkers tune to me. And I know that series is a sort of sibling series to SF I think.
@@seasonembrace3624 Don't remind me of DarkStalkers... gotta search R34 again.
Sounds like an Adam F Jungle track
this is the kind of music that makes me wanna pick this game as my favorite street fighter game.
This game had better stages ui and music but 3rd strike is more fun
@@AttitudeIndicator honestly i like playing second impact more sometimes

I miss the Drum & Bass boom of the 90s

The only ones i like are jazzy, akumas, and ibukis, and for the oe actual remixes you can get from the vault... I only like ibukis. Si kicks arse.
2I > NG > 3S >>>>>> 3SOE
(imo)
2nd Impact’s soundtrack’s the best, hands down.
Schwarz Shineman i like all sf3 soundtracks but i agree OE remixes are garbage.
At least online edition has dlc where you can change a characters look/music selection for stage/menu screen
This song makes me want to get on a train
The piano section.

I just wanna see somebody freestyle this shit.
Dude nobody freestyles in drum and bass

BEST STREET FIGHTER SONG
this is necro's theme for darkstalkers 4
trust me its a good idea, its where he dissapears after 4th coming (theyre both my ideas)

Get On a Train (Drum & Bass Mix): Siberian Railroad - Necro Stage
Composer: Yuki Iwai
Arranger: Hideki Okugawa
Genre: Drum and Bass
It's a cold dark night in Russia you are freight hopping then you meet Necro and the big lady.
They went hard with these remixes from New Generation....the D&B fused perfectly with the jazz, hip hop, gospel organs and piano
I SAMPLED THIS!!
0:36 goes hard
I think of Necro's 3S theme as more Twelve's; this one and New Generation sound like a poor experiment gone wrong
Except that's what Necro is...
The arcade ost doesn't suck, it just cuts a few parts of the arranged soundtrack. The only one that's actually different is the yun/yang soundtrack
This is that shit!!!!
I don't know if this theme or Snowland is better for Necro
This shares a couple instruments with Cyber Track from Sonic Advance 3

yes, Best Service Sound Cube Vol 1 > SYNTHS > DS1_29
also the synth at the start of live and learn is DS1_14 from the same folder
I'm sorry is that the freaking synth I hear in Cyber Track Zone from Sonic Advance 3
The last ever time necro sounded like a true man
I like the soundtrack from both games myself.
Is it me or does the main melody sound a lot like ibuki's 3rd strike theme
Is the same progression yep
Honestly, this is the best soundtrack of the series, followed closely by the original SF3. Third Strike's OST wasn't as memorable.
Are you still on crack?! Third Strike was amazing. Just listen to Akuma's Killing Moon and Gills Psych Out. The end roll is also a great piece of music.
2nd Impact ost>New Gen>>>Third Strike. Third has some good music but overall it pales in comparison to the previous two games.
