Incredible build once again, I like both Hiryu and Soryu. I was surprised that she had the shield mounts and the 25mm triple turret mount, since I thought that those shields were exclusively for Yamato, and Musashi. I also like the choice of music. Take care, and all the best.
Superb skill and wonderful build. I am almost finished with my build but its nowhere near as good as yours. at 13:34 you show a picture of flags on the mast how do you get the lines to curve as if hey are in a breeze do you use a glue on he line ?? and what thickness of line are you using ?? A joy to watch. Tim
Thankyou for coming back so quick. They look great. What thickness are the wires...did you buy a special pack ?? Just I would like to do the same but I dont know what to buy ?? Many thanks Tim @@JeffPKamenRider

Most people don’t know just how tedious all that brass photo-etch is. Triples the time it takes to build a model, but once it’s done it really makes the model stand out.
I just completed a cardboard model Soryu, and am now working on Hiryu. While i cannot do the finest of details, the overall models came out very well. I use thin single layer cardboard and stretch styrene sprue for small details. Tamiya model paint. I go by eye and illustration only, no plans or scale. Soryu is about 15" long.
Superb! Both thumbs up 👍 Jeff! Great attention to the details - and excellent execution indeed. One question - are the brass fittings ( photo etched parts ) part of the kit or you acquired them separately? If so what is models catalog Number?
Many Fujimi 350 come with either the normal package or the “premium” package, indicated by the “premium” gold stickers on the box. The premium models will come complete with a full ranges of add-on including the PE, sometimes extra planes, or wooden decks, or masking. As they are all from Fujimi, you can be quite assured of perfect fit and finish, and I suppose better price.
@@JeffPKamenRider Thanks for reply. Chasing those hoop-up etched parts sometimes is difficult and price may exceed twice the original kit price. So Premium you said costs more but no headache..
@@derpreue3947 the premium package can be cheaper compare to if you buy the add-ons separately. However you do not have the choice of what add-ons you want to acquire. The box comes pre packed with whatever Fujimi decides to give you. To me this is less headache.

Great stuff. Sometimes I worry that I alone have a 1/350 (Carrier) Fix so channels like these are a real relief to me ;) Love doing this stuff, just don’t have the patience to film it. Sofar built Akagi, Yorktown CV-5, Lexington CV-2, Musashi and Enterprise CV-6. Hiryu is on the list as is an Essex class carrier.
at the end of the video is the Shokaku (although not my best effort from earlier days). Shokaku's bridge and smoke stack is on the opposite side of Hiryu.
Outstanding build! You can certainly be proud of your work. What you created is so much more than what came out of the box.
What a wonderful video and model! Great workspace too. Thank you for sharing this tribute to the ship, and the men who served and perished on it.
Beautiful build. I purchased this kit because of your presentation. I admire your skills.
Thanks for the complement. Enjoy your models !

Good subject matter. You are a pro. Good job!!!
Nice build.. can add some figures, make it less a "ghost ship"😊
Beautiful work! Congratulations , job well done!
Great work! You even impressed the cat and that’s not easy to do.
U make the best IJN modes man. Keep it up! (Also can you maybe expand to other navies?)

Hi Christopher thanks for the link :)
@Musashi30 He even has built Yamato, if you want to check out his build of that, when you have spare time.
Take care, and all the best.
Christopher Snyder I will :)
The starboard guns after the Smoke stacks are all shielded. I suppose it’s because of the smoke. Thanks for the comments.
@Jeff P You are an incredible modeler, such great skill deserved subscribing to your channel, which I have.
I wish you all the best, take care.

They are steel wires. They can create a slag with its own weight which looks natural. Stretchable nylon or threads cannot do this.

Complimenti!! Bellissimo risultato.👏
Thank you! Enjoy your hobby, most important of all!
Really cool details.
Thanks for the compliment. Only used mainly rattle-can spray for this project. Not good at air-brushing skills and need to brush up though.
State of art. Congratulations.

Nice collection you’ve got there. Are they all 1/350?
@@JeffPKamenRider Yes, they are. Currently building Ticonderoga CV-14.
Wow! How long did it take you?
Thanks to the Covid-19 lockdown, I had the time to complete it. Otherwise it’s going to take a longer time.
Is this 1/350 scale?
Yes. It is 350th scale. At my age and eyesight I cannot handle 1/700 anymore. Although right now I am struggling with a 1/700 Akagi
@@JeffPKamenRider It's true that 1/700 is small, so it's difficult. Looking forward to your next piece!
