I’m well chuffed another great machine and Info equals a great video thanks Steve. Thanks for the work and gracing us with proper mechanic skills . Seasons greetings
Awesome morning brother from another country down under merry Christmas yall and happy new year yall !!!!! Awesome adventure as always brother waiting patiently for the new year adventures 😂😂😂😂😂
Steve ! I love the Austin. Back in the 60s my dad was an engineer for Ford. We had a vacation home in Florida he sold in 63 and we bought a retirement home for us in Grenada West Indies in 67. We were to move down there in 75 when I graduated High School. However he got in a car accident in 70. He was in a coma 4yrs and died so we never moved. They had Austin & Bedford trucks of that era they built covered wood beds with church pew seats and tarps to roll down the sides should it rain to use as buses. They were beautifully decorated and each had it's own name on the back. So it's a treat to see one again and hear it run. Cause now adays they use Japanese stuff. Cheers Buddy !🍺🤛😎👍
Gday Steve, happy birthday 🎂,unbelievable how easy that started and it ran nice after all them years, hard to believe really, it’ll be interesting to see if the body still goes up, great job mate, cheers
Once again, an amazing video Steve. Those engines are bulletproof and almost military in their spec. Happy 40th mate and really glad it was a top party. Thankyou for the content this year and I look forward to 2025s videos.
Hello Steve you should keep the old truck give it a bit of TLC And a paint job would make an excellent project for the videos awesome looking old truck it would look great after it was all fixed up anyway thanks for sharing another great video take care guys cheers and blessings from tropical far North Queensland the tablelands.
Thank you mate. No I probably won’t do anything with it. One from market place stuffed me around hard and then another mate wanted it after that and still nothing. See what happens
Say you be spot on steve the button be pto lot the old trucks had a lever to make the tip go up and down drove one those old austin trucks delivering groceries four speed gear box in it and the company had the Albion trucks to they used get real hot in the cab hope you have a great 2025 mate be safe and happy with the family to
That was awesome. When I was a kid back NZ in the 60s I used to ride around with my uncle who had about 8 Austin and Morris tippers like that - petrol and diesel. When I was 18 I worked for him. The pride of the back in the day was a 1958 cabover Austin with I think a 5.1 diesel with a 4 speed/2 speed and power steering. Being the new driver I started on that one and gradually worked my way up the ladder to a D Series Ford. Absolutely fantastic days. Would love to see your one drive again. I think I've seen a later model FK cab over in your collection which would be cool to fire up. Loved the vid and look forward to the next one. Hope you all had an awesome Xmas
Hi Steve, I hope you had a great Christmas & birthday. It was good to see you get that one started as I can remember about 60 years ago seeing one well overloaded with the steel sheeting that was used for the Anderson air raid shelters coming into a scrap yard a few times a week, always nose high & tail down, good old British engineering, keep up the good work & happy new year.
Hey up steve happy 40th mate, when i seen your spit on a pig V8 vid I'd presumed it was the Christmas tucker! Hard to believe that Austin fired up so sweetly definitely wants to be driven
I love these old 50's and 60's trucks, your mate Dave has got an old parrot nose Dodge over at his place but unfortunately he doesn't seem to do anything with it. Good video Steve.
G'day Steve, What a little ripper. Sounded like she wants a run round the paddock . Happy belated Birthday , sounds like you had a ball ,can't beat spending time with family n old mates. Great episode. Hope 2025 is one of the best yet . Respect....!
Hey Steve,we had an old Austin truck on our farm ,you could leave it for months and would start straight away, always ready for work, merry Christmas to you and your family 👍🇦🇺
From vague memory, these were called Austin Loadstars. With four headlights, it may be the last of the series. By 1971, I think the Leyland merger had happened. I think they may have been sold as Leyland for a while. You knew one was coming from miles away by the sound of that six bladed fan. They were also imported as cabless for bus bodies to be added. Archie Martin's in Western Australia imported a four-wheel drive version along with Auston Champs for a while.
Awesome Steve . Good old Austin fired straight up.. gotta love the boat tank .. I use the same. Merry Christmas thanks for the content . Look forward to videos next year
Wish you and your family a Merry Christmas Steve. I would love to see that become apart of the fleet, its a beast and they definatly don't make them like that anymore.
Halley-bloody-lulia! I've been dying for you to have a go at this neglected old lorry. That was ridiculously easy. Is this going to be the tattiest old pom-mobile to do the Hume next time round? A bit weedy perhaps, but a Hell of a lot quieter than a 2 stroke diesel. As a Brit, I always sit up and take notice when you do something with the very small number of British vehicles in your collection. Kind of like you have a regard for your Chamberlain tractors.
G’day Steve, I had a ‘66 Austin bus back in the mid 80’s, same motor and 4 speed crash box. The old thing would start with half a turn on the crank handle and run all day… Happy birthday for the other day.
Thank you Steve for the videos throughout 2024. The old Austin certainly a tribute to good old Pommie engineering. I have seen old films of the construction of the Sydney to Newcastle express way and a few of these old tippers were performing then 👍
Happy New Year mate.🍻 Like normal, it'll probably be New Year, Same Auld Shite.🤣 Hopefully Santa was nice to yous. That revive was more painless than expected. Now you'll have to give the Bulldog a go.😜
Hi steve belated wishes for both an have a happy new yr . Now you will be looking for a good cab old farm clearing sails or old truckies should be a good place to start Cheers mate🇦🇺
And the next time you may try to start something where it’s only been a few months and won’t go no matter what you do, I’m sure you’ve been there. Somehow I don’t think it will get scrapped. As rough as it is it would be a good tipper for someone just around their property. Happy 40th, I remember mine a long time ago. For my 70th I’ve thought I should start my 1913 Harley engine, last time I ran it was on my 40th.
Hi Steve. These were one of the first trucks I drove ( on a farm as I've never got my heavy licence) my uncle has a couple he brought from the local fire bridgade CFA and converted to hay trucks. They are a handful but good fun. Have an awesome New Year. Marc
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great Christmas. This video ended up later than intended but here it is still.

They don't make em like that anymore .

You should make a fallout/mad max truck out of it that would be cool to see
