Great Video. I just did mine today with some Alpines. Also got everything from crutchfield. All I can add to the video is that it'll save people a lot of time if they skip trying to remove those harnesses for the window and locks. You can still do everything without taking the door card off completely. Just need to have something underneath to help keep it from dangling like what you had.
Hello. I noticed looks like you removed either the rear quarter speaker or the front dash? And you had a Pioneer look like 3.5-inch by the factory? Did you install, which location, and do you have the video posted? Thanks!
Hi, does it matter what white and black wire goes to plus and minus?? I’m not sure which wire goes where. And does the + and - wires have to be facing a certain way to connect to speaker?
Great video! It APPEARS that the adapter is a 6x9 hole. Do you think you could have installed a 6x9 speaker instead of the 6.5"? How much depth was behind the speaker?
I think I could have installed a 6x9 instead of a 6.5. There was quite a bit of depth behind the speaker due to the adapter adding a little more space. A possible issue with the 6x9 speaker may be that the door grill design blocks the sound. Hope this helps!
I think either way you'd need an adapter because buying the speakers alone didn't come with wiring. The door speaker adapter was easier than most to install due to only needing to be plugged in and not spliced into. In another case, I had an adapter for my dash speakers, but I unfortunately still needed to splice into the speaker wires.

Better to upgrade to the power bass, they are plug and play and also play louder off of Oem power cord

So do you have to have the adapter? I’ve never messed with speakers in my life but the ones in my Z are not good at all.

Did these add more bass to the music?
In theory, yes cuz the magnet on the new speakers provide better low end.
so it’s literally plug in play
