I second what you have opined about Katrina's frame of mind musically & her social orientation in helping other newbies in the music industry. Her being played down by some of her own people, who couldn't accept her vibrant & superbly natural vocal skills, is quite disappointing. Some tall poppy ailment indeed. However, those who stumbled upon her vocals, love her here in the West. I haven't seen such talent in our local Houston gigs. She is incredible! Oh, thanks for your consistently charming RV of Kat. The Philippines 🇵🇭 had Spanish as the 2nd language for 333 years and counting ...until the USA 🇺🇸 won the Spanish American War. Thus, Filipinos can sing in Spanish and in English well.
I learned Spanish in grade school through University. I speak Mexican 🇲🇽 Spanish. My assessment: Katrina Velarde sings in Spanish well. 👍
