- A fairly interesting challenge. No point actually trying to kill him, Arash will kill himself. His autocast NP instafill and guts surprised me the first run.
Just spam guts.

Look at Arash's skill names:
"Diffraction Interference": grant self invincibility pierce status when using NP.
"Collapsing": increase NP firepower.
"Lone Ray of Light": when without Guts, cast Guts on self & charge gauge to full.
Seems like he really becomes one with light itself.
And in the end, he still kills himself.
Such is life.
This should have be his skill player can use.

So the gist is this : Just him kill himself. Like you know, Arash normally do.
Except we need to stop his suicide from taking us down too. Quite the conundrum.
Man, i remember doing it with Mash double NP full buff + waver def up, definitely one of the best battle of nero fest.
I'll agree to that. Best part of this quest is that unlike many other challenge quests, your aim isn't to outright kill the boss. It's to survive. There are so many ways to go about it. One of my favourite quests.

The moment this quest and event is released on NA,all the caster support list is either just gonna be filled with Irisviel or Medea lily.
It is assumed most people will have their own Irisviel. However, another way to combat this quest is simply to use Da Vinci caster solo, since she is the PERFECT counter to the quest. She has debuff res, guts or battle continuation on a very short cooldown, a spammable AOE np and self heal.

Wouldn’t it have been easier to bring in someone like Jack who can remove his buffs? Just keep her alive until his NP is charged then remove his guts and let Stella do the rest or would that not work? NA player here
All good. Nice to see some NA players looking ahead.
Normally if an enemy has guts then yes you could remove it. However, any buffs that are within a box cannot be removed by np's or skills. As you can see in the top left, Arash's 4 main buffs are all in boxes, meaning they are unremoveable. The only way to remove it is to activate the guts.
So in this challenge quest, no, jack wouldnt be able to remove the buff.
It will be a while before NA has to deal with that though so don't fret ;)

Bond CE honestly doesn't help as much as NP regen for irie and medea.

Considering that Ozymandias (Rider and the Hero Antagonist) was going to wipe out Tokyo with his Dendera Light to kill Manaka (the Villain Protagonist of Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Silver), Arash used his NP to assist Arthur's NP in stopping the Dendera Light at the cost of his life.

Just use irie mashu and a support tamamo and you will have no issue.
You can't use quartz on Nerofest quests

That's bullshit in my opinion, since events are ok to keep up with the schedule.
But animation updates of existing characters could be done right away.
Like they already did with stuff like the App's UI and other minor fixes.
xD events would lose a lot of hype if the animation updates they come with were removed.
Couldn't technically herc with his bond ce and some support servants also do this? He just have to out guts this boy
Unfortunately Arash's regular hits hurt too.
And invuln pierce means the usual herc strat won't work since the evade and any mystic code wont bypass the dmg Arash normally deals.
I'm sure someone has done it, but it's far from ideal.
What about Nero and her triple guts skill
@@ONTOE0 You can use her as a backline but Nero's issue is that she is a saber. As an archer, arash's regular hits will almost instakill her on a crit. So for this fight, she's less viable.
Yeah exactly. You keep her in reserve with either holy shroud of Magdalene or divine three legged race.

Do we get Accel/Zero rerun b4 Nero Fest? I didn't play while event was running and it seems she is gonna be super important for this fight.
No info on that atm. Hopefully so for those without her. However, just know there are very easy ways to complete this. You can do 100% defence buffs with waver mashu and boudica to negate his damage.

He has invuln pierce. That means that his evade won't work.

Well don't. Jeanne, Musashi, Marie, Irie, Medea Lily, Cleopatra, Jeanne Alter, Jeanne Alter Lily, Ishtar, Kiara, Brave Liz, Ereshkigal, Danzo, Mashu, Mhx, Shakespeare and Rider Ishtar all have invulnerability.
Despite what the meta seems to suggest, merlin isn't as useful during nero fest challenges as many other servants.
This challenge quest is about being able to hold your ground for a set amount of turns before arash kills himself. Given the invuln pierce, utilising mass heal and guts is much more effective than invuln.
So no, Merlin is not the cause.
Is Heracles w/Bond CE an option? Normally you wouldn't field a Berserker, but with a Taunt user could he not keep himself up through his Evasion skill and his own Guts? (by Evasion, I mean on turns the Taunt isn't up, just to be sure Arash doesn't crit snipe a Guts off of him).
Is Necromancy CE also a possible option, or should it be ditched due to it locking out Irisviel's NP?
