MAPA was a great decision to showcase on The First Take. This song resonates with any audience and for centuries after! They were just absolutely AMAZING! I just got goosebumps during the whole performance that's how good they are! This is one hell of a performance by SB19! Pablo knows each of the member's vocal possibilities and writes, arranges, and produces the songs with them in mind. That's why SB19's music is so beautifully vocally layered. And each member also adds their own unique flavor to the rendition that makes it an SB19 song. It's seriously so fun watching any bts you can find of their music production, especially when you hear how Pablo's original demo was vs the completed song.

It was during the pandemic when all five of them were doing laundry somewhere, and Stell somehow raised the question of 'what message do you have to your parents guys?', and Pablo went to his pad & pen, and started to write the song. The group also had an input to the song somehow, and sure enough it struck a nerve though out the whole PH, and eventually the whole world followed by having their own rendition o pay homage to Pablo's creation by also singing the song with their own language / lyrics to the song.

Mapa literally means "a map". But Pablo's poetic mind made a wordplay to connect it to our parents because in everyone's life, our parents stand as a map that gives direction to our journey in life. If you try to break down the word MaPa, it embodies our Ma or Mama (mother, mom) and Pa or Papa (father, dad). Also, as the song progresses, the lyrics show that our Ma is our Mata (eyes) and Pa is our Paa (feet). That's how genius Pablo is as a lyricist and as a musician

Pablo wrote this song and it was from an idea whilst he and Stell were doing their laundry. He asked Stell and the rest of the boys what message they would like to tell their parents. This was during the pandemic and they couldn't go home.

I just got goosebumps during the whole performance that's how good they are! This is one hell of a performance by SB19! Pablo was the one who wrote this song but with the inputs of the rest of the members...That's how they usually make their songs, Pablo always asked them their ideas that's why he always say that it's a team effort. They did this while doing their laundry when Pablo ask them what do they want to tell their parents thus the origin of this song. MAPA is a double entendre for Mama, Papa and the the other one is Map. Map in the sense that our parents is the one that guides us to the right path so that we won't get lost. This new arrangement of Mapa showcase their beautiful raw vocals. This just proved why they are called live monsters. All hail to the PPOP Kings! With this guys you need to expect the unexpected cause they loved to surprise their audience. They always try to level up their performances. That's how serious they are when it comes to their crafts. This is a fitting tribute to their parents and to all those people who unconditionally support them. Thank you for a great review. Pablo, the one in yellow, wrote and co-produced this song, and most of their songs including Gento. Mapa was written while on their first tour away from home. Pablo knows each of the member's vocal possibilities and writes, arranges, and produces the songs with them in mind. That's why SB19's music is so beautifully vocally layered. And each member also adds their own unique flavor to the rendition that makes it an SB19 song. It's seriously so fun watching any bts you can find of their music production, especially when you hear how Pablo's original demo was vs the completed song.

PABLO Wrote the LYRICS for these 6 Melodies. SB19 Requested to be Hands-On for their 1st Comeback EP/Extended Play and was granted by their CEO to do so. With SB19's 1st and 2nd EPS, "PAGSIBOL" EP (to sprout from underneath the ground like a seed) and "PAGTATAG"EP (to strengthen what has been established), respectively, PABLO Wrote, Composed, Produced/Co-Produced ALL of these songs. Both Extended Play had 6 Tracks each.
After SB19's Contract, SB19 opened 1Z/One ZONE Entertainment Corporation, their very Own Self-Managed Company with PABLO as its CEO.

It was during the pandemic when all five of them were doing laundry somewhere, and Stell somehow raised the question of 'what message do you have to your parents guys?', and Pablo went to his pad & pen, and started to write the song. The group also had an input to the song somehow, and sure enough it struck a nerve though out the whole PH, and eventually the whole world followed by having their own rendition o pay homage to Pablo's creation by also singing the song with their own language / lyrics to the song.
It’s so cute how Stell, as awesome as he is, still looks to Pablo for affirmation when he feels nervous.😊

Mapa literally means "a map". But Pablo's poetic mind made a wordplay to connect it to our parents because in everyone's life, our parents stand as a map that gives direction to our journey in life. If you try to break down the word MaPa, it embodies our Ma or Mama (mother, mom) and Pa or Papa (father, dad). Also, as the song progresses, the lyrics show that our Ma is our Mata (eyes) and Pa is our Paa (feet). That's how genius Pablo is as a lyricist and as a musician

There was some risk in picking MAPA because for one, it's all in Tagalog. On the other hand, this ballad along with Gento show that they are well-rounded and versatile. Also, filial piety is an integral part of Japanese culture just like in the Philippines so the hope is for this to resonate with them.
