Don't misunderstand what Dr Naik is saying. In Islam we are expected to communicate whatever little good knowledge we have, however this must not be exaggerated or elaborated in a subjective manner. For example, it's easy to take the idea that Allah is closer to us than our jugular vein and then add that Allah is everywhere or is inside of us - which would be a big mistake. We're not Christians, who often make up loads of fluff and subjective ideas to justify their beliefs. Muslims are very precise, they reference their source and leave to scholarly explanation. We don't elaborate. Not everybody can maintain intellectual integrity in da'wah. Knowledge is important, but so is being truthful and accurate.

Lol sheikh Ahmed deedat is a scholar of islam who had lots of knowledge. Basically he meant don't wait until you're sheikh Ahmed deedat to give Dawah (wait until you're a massively knowledgeable scholar).

Think how Allah, who know best how to give dawah, introduced islam in the 7th century: priorities is huge part in learning. Tawheed first, and it was done for years, morality, justice then how to give dawah etc..
