It's amazing how much the Firenation is progressing in the war. The wall of ba sing se has been unpinetrable since the beginning of the war and the firebending prodigy princess azula has made it half way through Iroh is the only one outside of her who has breached the wall. .thats more than what any other fire lord has done in history. And this also goes to show the power Aang possess and his smarts as well. And it also shows how much work Katara has put in this season She's been carrying this season with her head up high. And the one on one combat between aang and Azula is amazing. Azula is very skilled while fighting. She really doesn't even need fire bending because she so skilled and when jet saw Iroh warming his tea, he already knew the deal. And this suspicion of iroh and Zuko being firebenders is a major conflict. The sound track is awesome too Iroh was the only one outside of azula to make it through the Wall!!

This episode was simply epic!! The teamwork with the Gaang and Aang's fight with Azula right before that awesome run up and down the wall, just epic!! And can't say this enough but Azula is one scary and formidable foe! She almost got Aang there if not for his quick thinking. Also, great Ty Lee impersonation there Pat xD
Notice that ba sing se was the last earth kingdom strong hold for over 100 years no one could break into the city. Not even the great dragon of the West general iroh. For someone so wise I’m surprised iroh didn’t catch he shouldn’t fire bend in public and zuko did. I think zuko iroh and sokka pulled the same amount of girls this entire series. I like that aang used the same tactics as ty Lee to bring down the drill. Pressure point instead of over powering you only needed precision. This is the first one in one with azula I think we have seen yet? I like the slurry is a mixture of rock and water explaining why katara and toph can both bend it. The pregnant couple from zuko alone and the serpent pass came back in the train. Just when you thought jet really wanted a new life all it to was seeing a firebender to bring all that anger back. Notice how aang is improving on his bending all around. Notice that azula also isn’t the one banished so when she fails to capture the avatar isn’t as heavy. Iroh using his charm to get those tickets just like toph using her rich higher status to get tickets.
9:44 Speaking of small worlds, did you guys noticed that the couple with the kid was the couple that Zuko saw in "Zuko Alone"? The one where Zuko was thinking of stealing a meal from but changed his mind when he saw the lady was pregnant.
You gotta remember that Aang isn’t used to taking hits because he’s so good at dodging. He only ever gets hit like 5 times in the whole show. A good example if that fight with Zuko at where Appa was fighting that weird creature that sees with smell. It was such a high speed fight but Aang dodged everything and only took damage from his own attack colliding with Zukos. Since he doesn’t really get hit, when you put him against an aggressive and powerful bender like Azula all it takes is one solid hit to put him down for a little bit. You also have to consider that every other nation wears their own kind of armor. The water tribes just have really padded clothes because it’s cold, fire nation has metal bracing in their clothing and earth kingdoms also has a little metal bracing but Aang has none so he can’t take as much damage.
I love how in the episode “Zuko alone” the lady that gave birth to hope was almost mugged by Zuko when he was starving but he decided to leave them alone. Then they run into Aang at his most vulnerable time when he’s lost all hope. Then when they are all hopeful again and get into the city she has already given birth to Hope and Iroh meets the baby and Zuko doesn’t even notice that was the couple whose lives he spared and now they all have hope. Every time I rewatch this show I notice a detail that makes it just a little deeper in the aspect of how much they thought about the symbolism in the plot. If only legend of Korra was that deep without it just being all about girl power.

@@Smile-fj1zf two years ago I rewatched TLA as an adult and then Korra for the first time right after. It's not nostalgia making me say that it's good. Yes, there are plenty of poor writing decisions but the show is enjoyable overall. My main issue with it is how disconnected each season is from each other.

I personally enjoyed book 3 more because I felt like it was more character driven, by then we are completely invested in these people and it was about destinies so I liked that. Book 2 is the most plot driven and has the most cohesive story line from start to finish though so it depends on what you like. I think book 3 had a lot of book 1 call backs with the side quests but they were obviously more advanced by then.
