I’m a huge RFK fan, but I almost didn’t watch this because I wrongfully assumed this interview wouldn’t bring anything new to the table. Fast forward 45 minutes and this is possibly my favorite one of his yet.
Cheryls thing about rfk saying yes upfront because ultimately they’ll figure it out in private later is some of the classiest sweetest shit I’ve ever heard.
I thought it was sweet at first but it’s actually irresponsible. Rfk Jr added that if he can’t he’ll just call the person and explain he needs to change plans (watch the video, he admits this). So basically he doesn’t stick to his word, which is disheartening and typical to hear from a politician. I laughed out loud at least five times in the first 15 minutes. If this is how presidential campaigns are conducted moving forward, I am 100% for it. The long form interviews are so much better than BS, scripted 5 minute chunks on cable news or debates where everything is about grabbing the spotlight, scoring points on your opponents or pushing their buttons to elicit a reaction.. I know Bobby and Cheryl so much more from a single podcast than I would have learned during the insanely long 18+ months that a presidential campaign lasts in the US

Kennedy really is a pleasure to listen to. Thoughtful, intelligent and can put a coherent thought together. He’s so well read and has been living a life of service. Hope the American people embrace him more. Sadly I think it won’t happen. But what a great candidate for president.
