@@sonandheir13 Jesus is simply telling the ruler that he is God and there is nobody good on earth (people). Following verses shows the hypocrisy of the ruler saying he has the kept the law since childhood when he hasn't cause its not possible for man to keep the law.
@@dorsalplum Ohhh. So is the ruler calling Jesus “good” according to the standard of the law and Jesus having a righteousness higher than the law, is showing him that this same law can’t justify him?

Jesus used the law to show him that cant keep it because it requires perfection therefore showing the ruler he just bore false witness by saying he did keep it. This is a common theme in the synoptic gospels, Jesus Christ used the law to condemn the Jews so that they could see there need for a savior which was Jesus Christ.
