It was light last week.. but I stayed away from Trevi! Ridiculous crowds there always. The Pantheon after noon was busy but my favorite little streets were great! I returned home on Sat 12/7
Too many people forget that Rome, in addition to the two millennia of formation of Western Civilization, is also the capital of Catholicism, the religion of 1.4 billion people in the world. It is natural that on the occasion of important religious holidays (Immaculate Conception, Christmas, Easter etc.) the Eternal City fills with tourists and pilgrims from all over the world. Next year will be the Jubilee, so draw your own conclusions
Crazy crowded. I would love to visit sometime in the holiday season one year. Definitely don't want to be in their crowds though. Decorations are so pretty. Why so many at the Spanish steps? Still beautiful. Thanks much.🥰
The Spanish Steps are up ahead. On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Dec. 8, the Pope visits a statue of the Virgin there. This is the probable cause of the extraordinary congestion.
We roman people are very Tired to have all these people in Rome. Stop to this wild tourism if you want visit Rome you must have a booking and pay for visiting
Thank you for another very welcome visit to Italy (a bonus) greetings from England,Happy Holiday 😊
Thank you so much. Happy holidays as well
Thank you so much for battling the crowds on a rainy day to film this video for us, your dedication is very much appreciated 😊
My pleasure 😊 thanks for the support
I was just in Rome two weeks ago and it was nothing like this. Crowds were light pretty much the entire week I was there.
It was crowded because of the immaculate conception feast.

It would have been worse than this if the rain wasn't falling.
@AmazingWalkingTour gracious. Way too many people to even enjoy.
During the holiday period (in this case, we are talking about the feast of the Immaculate Conception, 8 December) it is always full of people.

It was a holly day, the crowd is normal 😊
OMG!!! I can fully understand why the locals in Europe are revolting against mass tourism !
Couple days ago I was there and no people around….
It was recorded on the 8th of December (Immaculate conception day)
@ yep that’s when we were there
this enormous crowd in Via Condotti and Piazza di Spagna is due to the ceremony with the Pope at 5 pm of Sunday, when the video was shot...

Nationale feestdag waarop veel mensen vrij zijn. Veel gezinnen met kinderen op pad in de stad.
Do you think cities are empty during the holidays? There are always people around
And why not as Italy is God’s own country
BEWARE - PICKPOCKETS EVERYWHERE!
Speaking from experience.
HOLD ON TIGHT AND DON'T GET DISTRACTED AND DONT ACCEPT HELP FROM STRANGERS.
Non sono italiani i borseggiatori !!! In genere , sono rom. Cioè zingari dell' est Europa
