My issue is space. I converted my garage into a sign shop and i have an HP L570. We are growing but im too chicken to pay for overhead cost. Thinking about expanding my garage.
My friend is a GPR concerete scanner, he only has one small scanner to go work sites in local, he find clients online and most of his clients reliable once he hooked them. He said if he works full day he make easly $1200 per day, no hustling. I cannot imagine if he works 5 days per week... with that $30K machine. I am thinking of doing engraving and fiber laser but i have watched so many videos, they all fun stuff however spending money never ends but also looking for clients, machine have problems, place issue, rent for place... what is left to you? 🤔 so much hustling and i see him working late nights man come on $30K how many hours of work for a day lets be honest.
Great stuff as usual. Though I'm based in the UK your videos serve as a wonderful inspiration to me and my (tiny) print business... only issue is making me want to spend on more equipment :P! But no, seriously, thank you so much for your vids they are really great.
Not at all talking trash here but- you make tons of money working on pens and yet you can "never have pens around here." I spit up my coffee when I heard that. Congrats on the success!!
Thanks for the video. Do you think the market is overcrowded with ppl providing engraving services? What do you think is a good place for ppl to get started providing services?
That makes me excited! I bought a little 10w laser to start learning on. I'm hoping I can learn it quick and start making some awesome stuff. Do you get most of your laser business from local customers?
If you want a gantry, the omtech is a good choice but it does take some work to get going. For fiber or other galvo lasers, I highly recommend Garen. He's be awesome to work with.
@@ttms , thanks for the response. I think I'd prefer the galvo design -- faster, smaller footprint. Forgive me, I don't use WhatsApp -- is Garen located in the USA? Is there another way to contact him?
@@ttms , oh, I see. Thanks. So you haven't had any troubles (with the hardware or software) with the Chinese machines? I've read other articles saying they can be OK, but often the interface isn't as good as some of those created in the USA. Obviously, there's a large price-difference -- I think a non-Chinese MOPA fiber laser costs in the $10-15k range.
I had one issue with the red dot and they sent me the part and showed me how to fix it. You can get a basic galvo for $1500+ and a mopa around $5-6k depending on specs. Most run ezcad but you can also use lightburn now. Ezcad has been just fine for me. I have four machines from Garen. I could probably have one US supported machine. I intentionally say supported because the laser sources are only made by a few companies.
That's gross. But the spend included all the inventory that I engraved, and everything I still have. The only thing that was additional was the labor to run the machine which has maybe been a thousand.
3 months is pretty good for an ROI. Seems like you're starting a nice little niche business right now. I think your biggest problem is going to be the inventory, because that can be pretty expensive to buy all the supplies up front. And you kind of have to since you're going to get it from China. People want things right now, so you have to keep enough inventory on hand to take care of any orders.
Its videos like these showing made 30K in a few months that causes people to jump on thinking they can get rich. They can't everyone owns one now. Only person getting money is the TH-camr trying to get views and likes. Everyone making get rich videos!! Its not that simple folks!! Thats why you see lots of these machines for sale on marketplace. Welders, Lasers, etc cheap once people find out it was a waste of money! All these TH-cam people are trying to earn money with views and its ruining it for them and everyone!
I don't share your opinion, and that's ok. I do agree that people jump in too early, even myself. That's usually the best way to learn. I've spent hundreds and thousands of dollars on things for them to only be a waste of time and money. At the same time, they were a great learning experience. As for my making money as a "TH-camr". Yes, I do make some. I make more in a single day running my business than I do the entire month from TH-cam. I don't share because of the "TH-cam money". If that was my motivation I would have stopped making videos a long time ago.
ROI seems to add up, but here is what I wonder. You seem to be in a good spot of to be considering this. Shopfront. Your sales channels are online, what do you think on offliners? Cashier, register, makeup for the frontshop etc?
Thanks for all the info you continue to provide. You give us all the details with numbers to back it.
Glad to help

I have a problem with wanting to spend more money too. It's a bad. I need to start an equipment anonymous group.

What would be the best printer for high-quality photo postcards and calendars?
for someone starting off in the engraving business wanting to do jewelry, wood, stainless....what would you recommend
wow 3 month ROI is awesome!
Large format? Fiber laser?
Thanks for the details. Always appreciate how much you share. How do I get CAM to edit videos for me????
Love your content! I would be so grateful if you showed us how you line things up on flat items (jigs)
Hello, can i ask how you market your business locally? Thank you
Now I got a serious problem :
Should I get a 2500euro CO2 laser or Fiber laser ?
I just got the Laserpecker 2 and I love it ! So easy to work with...
Fiber!
@@ttms thank you ! Best regards from Germany !

How long did it take you to receive the laser from Garen? did you use the air or sea freight?

How the heck are you getting all this business??
Nobody is. Everyone has a machine today.
Thanks for the video. Do you think the market is overcrowded with ppl providing engraving services? What do you think is a good place for ppl to get started providing services?
I personally don't. There are many different things you can engrave/cut and it's just a matter of finding what works for you.

Can I ask the biggest question I have been wondering! Where do you get your pens from if I may know that secret?
I sell them at bulklaser.com
how do you advertise your laser business?
Can you recommend a good supplier for the Pens
bulklaser.com
Also, are there laser machine brands you recommend (or ones you recommend against)?

Great video, where did you buy the rotary bed for the pen engraving
I purchased it with my laser.
Congratulations on the lasers! Quick question: you spent ~$30k on the setup, and made $30k. Is the $30k gross sales or net profit?

Can we buy this?
I don't know what that means.
Whats the profit on a pen
Depends on what I sell them for.

Having the inventory is key. I win a bunch of orders because I can do it now. It's helpful but expensive.
I always have red flags whenever someone says message them ob whatsapp 🙄 mmm
I did too, but most of the world communicates with it. It's just not as common in the US. I have always paid through Alibaba. Never had an issue.
hi, can i engrave rubber on fiber laser ?, for stamp making.
I've never tried it. I know you can on a co2. I'll see if I can order a sheet and make a video about it.
please get rid of that unbearable "humm" noise from your video. Super easy to do in the post. Just watch a youtube tutorial
