    I have a beautiful leather black briefcase with nickel fittings my wife gave me 20 years ago. It was faded by the sun in some areas. I purchased your products and followed your steps. It looks brand new. I'm happy to be able to use it again.

    The trouble with bags is they are next to your clothes when using. How can be sure no product will rub off on my threads. That's why polish won't really work. Do these products rub off after dry?

    Amazing video! Very interesting! I have a black Wandrd Prvke which is a camera backpack I bought recently. The bag is made from a combination of tarpaulin and Robic nylon. Tarpaulin (commonly referred to as tarp) is water phobic, tough and flexible. A very nice material. The other day I accidentally rubbed the bag against the wall causing a white scuff/scratch on one of the side pockets. It looks terrible and I'm looking for something to fix it with. Do you think that the Saphir Juvacuir could help me solve the problem even if the bag is not made of leather?
    Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks!

    • @kirbyallison
      @kirbyallison  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Tocho I don’t think of the protocol would be any different than what we recommend in this video. The only trouble you might have is matching the color of the leather. You can use Nuance chart, or you can just order one or two different colors and see what works best.

    Hi Kirby,
    Thank you very much for your videos. Where I come from (Singapore), it is fairly humid and this leads to problems with mould on my leather shoes and bags. Do you have any tips on how people in my part of the world can prevent our leather items from getting mouldy, and how we can treat the leather after they have been affected by mould? Thanks!

    • @kirbyallison
      @kirbyallison  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Damien Chng How do you store your leather items? You could consider a dehumidifier for your closet. I would certainly recommend storing all of your pieces in a way that allows the leather to breathe. It’s certainly would not want to be storing them in any type of plastic.

    Thanks Kirby for the excellent video. One of my bag has an area that's may have rubbed against some rough surface and have a patch on the side that's scratched and discolored a little. I've followed your instructions and applied the Saphir Juvacuir and Saphir Canadian, and the discoloration is gone and blended in with the rest pretty well. However, not sure if I've applied too much of the products, the pattern of the leather got flattened a little and lost some of it's texture. As a result, the area become more reflective and stand out in the light. What would you recommend in this situation to fix this? Thanks in advance!

    I need to do some work on my leather messenger bag and it needs a serious recolor so I was going to grab the Cognac Saphir Juvacuir as well as the Saphir Canadian Cream. The problem is that the Canadian Cream does not come in Cognac. Do you think I can get Light Brown and mix the two colors? Or do I need to suck it up and get Light Brown in the Juvacuir as well?

    Kirby, thank you for addressing this issue. I have a great leather briefcase is tan but have an issue you did not address that of a stain. In my case several that have blemished the leather. Robert Sweeney personally, I think the stains gives a bag character and patina,. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You could use some of the Saphir Juvacuir to color over that spot if it really bothers you.
