I'm probably going with the Pixel 5 because it's size is perfect for my hand and pocket with a large screen due to high screen to phone ratio. Also google software updates and OI--over the life of the phone-- is so much better than competitors. My only hesitation is the speaker quality.

The S20 FE supports 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. This is even though the charger in the box is only 15W. Honestly, for $13 for the charger, I can't complain.
I've been a Google phone user since the Nexus 6P and this is the first time I've even considered a Samsung since my Samsung Moment in ~2010. On paper, it seems like a no brainer that the S20 FE is the superior device but I keep coming back to the clean, stock Android experience of a Pixel vs the bloated Samsung One UI
I am a great user of Pixel phones (actually having the 3). I love small phones because I got tiny hands BUT I would like to try something with that FE 5G, with a big screen and stuff, also because its specs look more durable than the Pixel 5.
After loving my original Pixel XL for 4 years I actually switched to the FE due to the delay in production of the Pixel 5. After watching this, the ONLY reason I would be swapping back to a Pixel XL is the back fingerprint scanner... but I've decided against that! I just found out Samsung offers similar security features like "stay unlocked at home," so I don't really need a scanner, and I was able to grab the FE for $100 cheaper through an early Amazon sale.
For me the s20 FE is the clear winner, is just a more complete package and value. Wireless charging I like cuz sometimes my phone reads moisture on the port due to me having in moist environment so it won't charge, but if I place it on a QI pad it will charge. Also since I consume lots of media, a better speaker sound is better. I like the red color of the FE and I currently have an SD card so I don't want to get rid of it since 128gb it won't be enough for the next 3 years woth so much 4k 60 frame. The Pixel is 100 bucks too expensive
I got the S20 FE for $380 + silicone case + galaxy fit 2 + 6 months of spotify ÷ 6 months youtube premium with a pixel 3a trade in of $225. Samsung did it right this year with the fan edition.
I got my S20 FE for $149.99 after trade in, and price match from Amazon. I got $450 for my S10+, and $100 back for price matching Amazon. I also got the Moga Xbox Controller, and Fit2. The total was $225.54.
It's kinda weird, but why didn't they just do top and bottom firing speakers on the Pixel 5? They could have kept the vibrating speaker in the screen and then perhaps added a speaker for mid-low range noises on the top or back to give it more oomph. I'm still buying a pixel 5 though. I love the look of it and the software/camera.

@@markkendall6144 are you slow? Half of that is not true? All of what I said is factual. Pixel 5 has 4080 mAh s20 fe has a 4500 mAh. You are clearly biased for Google because the galaxy fe is a much better deal for the price for most people. I love Google and stock Android and I wanted the pixel to be better but you can't charge 700 dollars for a screen that small and a mid range snapdragon especially when oneplus exists. Pixel 5 is a rip off.
@@taylorhuntington1156 not everyone wants a bigger screen with a cheap plastic back with one ui the only thing missing from pixel is face unlock that's the one and only bad thing
The fingerprint reader on the back of the Pixel is the number one reason that I bought it. All cases and covers for the Pixel 5 have a hole cut out which guides your finger easily to it. It means that in these days of compulsory mask-wearing, I can reach into my pocket and have the phone unlocked even before I have it in front of me. Plus - the smaller size of the Pixel 5 makes it easier to carry and use in one hand. I do admit that the S20 FE is a great phone too, especially at its price. Still, for the simplest, most minimal experience, pure Android on Pixel phones is my preference, and I like the way Pixel phones render photos.
That processor is not going to matter because Google's software makes Samsung's software look like crap. So pretty much the little better processor doesn't matter if the software is trash
i dont really complain too much if its audible in a room watching youtube or something if i wanna go all out i just use the jbl flip or the google home for music. i had a note for anyone who was on the fence of cheap or flagship, the note 20 to me does better at night due to its super sized sensors. night sky its usually a blurry mess, and between day shots of a pixel and note 20 the pixel destroys it in most situations for some reason i always have this slight blur while using the note that doesnt exist on the pixel.
I think if your a Google fan you are definitely going to go with the Pixel 5 but if your somewhat neutral I think the FE provides a better experience esp given the 865 chip which won't feel as dated next year when newer chips are introduced..
While I love my Galaxy S9 and I have been using it for almost two years and a half, my next phone will definitely be a Pixel. I don't know which Pixel, since I plan to keep my S9 for at least another year or two, but there is something that draws me towards stock android and everything that comes with it. Especially since I barely use any of the features provided by OneUI 2.5, so I basically treat my S9 as if it was a Pixel in the first place.
This isnt even a comparison. 1 is actually a midranger with a midrange chip, and the other is a cheaper super saiyan flagship The only midrange chip that beat the snap 865, is Samsung exynos 1080 nm chip. That's it Galaxy S21 - Samsung DESTROYS Qualcomm AGAIN" on TH-cam th-cam.com/video/rDVQUiMGT2o/w-d-xo.html "Samsung - This is a MIGHTY Performance" on TH-cam th-cam.com/video/Rd2_FJ7j-Jk/w-d-xo.html
pix5. 1. size (deal breaker for me) 2. fingerprint scanner (not deal breaker, but close) 3. 90hz screen, don't mind 120, but prefer battery life benefit 4. night mode capability add headphone jack and microsd and it'd be my perfect phone.
The S20 FE as I see it is a pretty solid side-grade from my burned-in, cracked-screened, battery-worn Note 8 after a couple of years of Samsung decisions that I couldn't justify a wallet vote for. Google made another phone with the selling point of "...you'll be surprised how well it does with so little?" Forgiveness Edition wins. Good dog, Samsung.
I'm in the same boat. My note 8 battery just doesn't hold up to a full day 3 years later and the burn in is getting more noticeable. I'm pretty sure I'll go with the Fe, seems like the best bang for the buck right now.
Your video is very good. But I'm still so hesitating between this two... I like that overall very good experience proposed by S20 FE (camera, audio, screen) BUT the phone seems giant to me, ratio seems weird, and not a fan of OneUi (I'm a OnePlus user since OP1) Google seems average everywhere, is the screen quality as good as FE ? You make clear that audio seems a very weak point ! But OS as pure Android seems good to use and close to what I know from OnePlus. And last point, the unlock at the back. Is it ok on everyday use ? Seems weird to me, like when the Phone is on table and you just want to switch music. Any help or feed back appreciate !
I am fan of Google, I have pixel 1xl and pixel 3 xl, but last week I bought FE because of size of pixel 5, I am sure pixel lost a lot of fan because they did only small version only.
FE is cheaper even, discount everywhere also trade in promo. If anyone buys a Pixel 5 over FE then don’t even dare to call iPhones users ‘sheep’ cause you are looking at yourself.
This kind of perspective is the problem. You dumbasses try to down google for pricing their FLAGSHIP at 699 usd lol. Look at the bigger picture, samsung is getting away with pricing their note 20 and s20 ultra at 1400 and 1100 usd when they can actually squeeze the best hardware specs for a 700 dollar samsung FE. Fools
I have loved my Pixel 2XL for 4 years now, and couldn't wait for the Pixel 5 to come out so I could have the best Google phone that would last me another 4 years; however, after watching this video, it's clear to me that the tech on the S20 FE will long outlast the Pixel 5. It makes me sad because Pixel had so much potential. I will miss the video stabilization, but other than than that I think the S20 FE is the right choice for me. Plus there are discounts already offered for it!
Really no headphone jack in the s20 fe?? I have ear buds, but sometimes I still want to use my regular headphones, also my car is 2012 and in order to play it through the speakers I have to do a plug in through the headphone jack. I want this phone, but it's kind of a deal breaker.

I kept pausing all along just to stare at those gorgeous symmetrical bezels of the Pixel
Not a fan of the fingerprint lock on the back of the pixel 5, not good if using a cover or case. Very good review. Thank you.
Went with the FE simply because of the Processor .
That processor is not going to matter because Google's software makes Samsung's software look like crap. So pretty much the little better processor doesn't matter if the software is trash
Excellent review as always.
*S20FE DA BEST* 💙
Seriously pixel is too boring and too basic and way to small
i dont really complain too much if its audible in a room watching youtube or something if i wanna go all out i just use the jbl flip or the google home for music. i had a note for anyone who was on the fence of cheap or flagship, the note 20 to me does better at night due to its super sized sensors. night sky its usually a blurry mess, and between day shots of a pixel and note 20 the pixel destroys it in most situations for some reason i always have this slight blur while using the note that doesnt exist on the pixel.
My choice will be Galaxy S20 FE next year when its even cheaper lool for now I'll keep my Note 10 Lite
Cheap ass
@@nownow1681 shut up
I think if your a Google fan you are definitely going to go with the Pixel 5 but if your somewhat neutral I think the FE provides a better experience esp given the 865 chip which won't feel as dated next year when newer chips are introduced..
Nice video, also where can I find the Mandalorian wallpaper?
hi,where can i get the mandalorian wall paper
While I love my Galaxy S9 and I have been using it for almost two years and a half, my next phone will definitely be a Pixel. I don't know which Pixel, since I plan to keep my S9 for at least another year or two, but there is something that draws me towards stock android and everything that comes with it. Especially since I barely use any of the features provided by OneUI 2.5, so I basically treat my S9 as if it was a Pixel in the first place.
Exactly my scenario (s9 2.5 years also)
Any thoughts on the Exynos version of the s20 fe
This isnt even a comparison. 1 is actually a midranger with a midrange chip, and the other is a cheaper super saiyan flagship
The only midrange chip that beat the snap 865, is Samsung exynos 1080 nm chip. That's it

yea so that means that the next year of high mid-range devices are going to be A FLAGSHIP LEVEL im so excited
Did you see XDAs review where the Pixel 5 beat the standard S20 in app loading times more often than not?
super sayian😅😅
I really like that shark dancing wallpaper. Where can I find it?
Pixel 5 has WiFi 6? Thought they omitted it this year per the website spec
I made an error. Thanks for pointing it out!
Any noteable differences in the OS?
pix5.
1. size (deal breaker for me)
2. fingerprint scanner (not deal breaker, but close)
3. 90hz screen, don't mind 120, but prefer battery life benefit
4. night mode capability
add headphone jack and microsd and it'd be my perfect phone.
I have this red Galaxy s20 fe, and its awesomeness.
Where did you get those wallpapers!!
So what are the main differences between S20 FE and the regular S20? I haven't been following tech need lately 😅 anyway excellent video!
Glass vs plastic back, 8gb vs 6gb ram, 1440p vs 1080p screen. FE has bigger 4500mah battery vs the S20's 4000mah and same size as the S20+
If I were strictly basing the purchase off of the camera, both photo and video, which should I buy?
Pixel 5
This fell feels like a sneak peak of the s21
The S20 FE as I see it is a pretty solid side-grade from my burned-in, cracked-screened, battery-worn Note 8 after a couple of years of Samsung decisions that I couldn't justify a wallet vote for.
Google made another phone with the selling point of "...you'll be surprised how well it does with so little?"
Forgiveness Edition wins. Good dog, Samsung.
Side grade? Id call it an upgrade in all areas minus the S pen and headphone jack.
I'm in the same boat. My note 8 battery just doesn't hold up to a full day 3 years later and the burn in is getting more noticeable. I'm pretty sure I'll go with the Fe, seems like the best bang for the buck right now.
Shane, please tell ,me one thing. Should i upgrade from Samsung galaxy fit to fit 2?😕😕
What are the wireless charging speeds?
I have neither. I use the note 20. But got it free from at&t
Your video is very good.
But I'm still so hesitating between this two...
I like that overall very good experience proposed by S20 FE (camera, audio, screen) BUT the phone seems giant to me, ratio seems weird, and not a fan of OneUi (I'm a OnePlus user since OP1)
Google seems average everywhere, is the screen quality as good as FE ? You make clear that audio seems a very weak point !
But OS as pure Android seems good to use and close to what I know from OnePlus. And last point, the unlock at the back. Is it ok on everyday use ? Seems weird to me, like when the Phone is on table and you just want to switch music.
Any help or feed back appreciate !
the Pixel has a 90hz display and OLED. It’s pretty good compared to the S20 FE
Pixel 5 all day long software experience unrivaled you'd have to switch to ios to get that experience
Very good comparison! I currently have a Samsung Galaxy A50 but want a much very camera. I am considering the S20 FE. Is it a good option? Thank you
S20 FE 💪🏼.
Great content
Brooooo the pixel five looks like one of my bathroom tiles
you stole that...
Still better than plastics.
Can you do a case drop test and studio tour
Got a pixel but going back. You can have different ring and notification volumes!!!!!!! Why isn't this mentioned. It's the most basic function needed.
Can you tell me what's the name of the live wallpapers you use. Thx
I am fan of Google, I have pixel 1xl and pixel 3 xl, but last week I bought FE because of size of pixel 5, I am sure pixel lost a lot of fan because they did only small version only.
WHAT LIVE WALLPAPER APP DO YOU USE IN THE VIDEO?
what's your OSRS name? I play it too.
FE is cheaper even, discount everywhere also trade in promo. If anyone buys a Pixel 5 over FE then don’t even dare to call iPhones users ‘sheep’ cause you are looking at yourself.
Agreed
100% true
Fe cheap build and tacky colours and to big
This kind of perspective is the problem. You dumbasses try to down google for pricing their FLAGSHIP at 699 usd lol. Look at the bigger picture, samsung is getting away with pricing their note 20 and s20 ultra at 1400 and 1100 usd when they can actually squeeze the best hardware specs for a 700 dollar samsung FE. Fools
they're the same price everywhere I've looked and both have trade in options.
Can we get a link to the wallpapers
Link for the wallpaper please
How can I get backgrounds like that? I love those.
I wanted to ask that too 😊
Full review of galaxy fit 2 pls
I have loved my Pixel 2XL for 4 years now, and couldn't wait for the Pixel 5 to come out so I could have the best Google phone that would last me another 4 years; however, after watching this video, it's clear to me that the tech on the S20 FE will long outlast the Pixel 5. It makes me sad because Pixel had so much potential. I will miss the video stabilization, but other than than that I think the S20 FE is the right choice for me. Plus there are discounts already offered for it!
The s20 Fe is guaranteed only 3 years of support. But it's a great phone none the less.
3 years. The 2 came out in October 2017.
Really no headphone jack in the s20 fe?? I have ear buds, but sometimes I still want to use my regular headphones, also my car is 2012 and in order to play it through the speakers I have to do a plug in through the headphone jack. I want this phone, but it's kind of a deal breaker.
Asus Rog phone 3-" *holdmybeer* "
Can't believe I say this but I think I rather have the samsung phone than the pixel phone.
Love your videos!! Support from 🇮🇳 INDIA!! I bought my samsung tab s6 after watching your video.
