      That is TRUE; however not many people KNOW what that really MEANS, and still practice INFIDELITY to God and Jesus. Read that 1- LAW Jesus spoke of and UNDERSTAND in Genesis-2, and UNDERSTAND ENGLISH CONTEXT in Matthew 5-17... "I came NOT to DESTROY THE LAW or prophets (prophecies which Jesus fulfilled by being Born and Serving God His Father)... BUT, to fulfill..." which He did in his everyday life by teaching truth as opposed to The Priests' demands.

      @@bobkoomans3490 Jesus spoke in parables for a reason. Not everyone understood them because they were not with God. And even the twelve would ask Him for clarification, for they also did not always understand. I do know, that if someone truly wants to follow in Jesus' footsteps, they must "Seek first the Kingdom of God" (Matthew 6:33, NIV).

      @@pastorbri with that same logic the word "heterosexual" is not in the Bible either. Heterosexual is simply defined as being sexually attracted to the opposite sex. You can be heterosexual and commit fornication, adultery, and simply lusting after the opposite sex, which is all sinful.
      Are you telling me that gay people do not fornicate, commit adultery, or lust after another?
      How would you interpret Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 1 Timothy 1:9-11? If you noticed I am not including the Leviticus scripture because I am not under the Law or the Levitical priesthood.

      No one can stop sinning. The thing is when you sin, confess it. Those that are saved have had ALL their sins forgiven, past, present, and future. When The Lord looks on one of his children, he only sees the blood.

      @@adamperry4347 I think you might be well-meaning but your statement has two possibly unintended consequences.
      1. IT is definitely the case that people can stop doing at least one sin completely in their lives. Just as Dr Brown confessed - he no longer pushes drugs into his body. Saying that it's not possible could seriously derail people's repentance.
      2. By making the statement so broad, you are basically giving people licence to continue sinning and pleading that they can't stop. Paul was very explicit about that.
      So maybe you should rephrase your statement.

      Paul mentioned "The veil" that covers the minds of the unbelievers(corinthians). And the veil can only be removed by turning to God. The whole world is literally under a spell and they don't even know it. The one thing that can break the spell is the very thing that most people reject.

    This is exactly what happened to me! Today I live a heterosexual life, was lesbian and God changed me over time, it has been 18 yrs now, God changes over time. Just trust in Him, He told me in my spirit, Worship me 1st and I will take care of the rest!!!!

      If we are living outside of God's intention and will for us then we are in rebellion and living in sin. We are choosing what we want for ourselves rather than what God wants for us. When you're finally at your rock bottom, realize your way was wrong and doesn't work, and are desperate for a savior--remember Jesus. He's always right there waiting.

    What you are asking is like asking a 'straight' person 'is it ok to be an adulterer or a fornicator and to be a Christian?'
    There is absolutely no difference. The only relationship which God recognises and permits is between a Man and a woman in Marriage.
    It does not matter one iota whether you think you were born homosexual or not. It is the activity of the body which brings in the sin towards God.
    Many 'straight' men and women would perhaps desire to have sexual relations outside marriage, but they do not because it is a sin against God and a defilement of their body. A Christian does not own his or her own body. We have been bought with a price, the precious blood of Christ, and we are not our own, we belong to God. We must glorify God in our bodies.
    It is time to stop making excuses for immorality and fleshly lusts, which we all suffer from, but that does not make what God says in His word, old fashioned or out of date or irrelevant to us.

      Ashley NC, you may want to dig deeper into these passages. When studying passages in the Bible, we need to take into account the original author and audience, as well as the cultural context of the day. After all, we are separated by language, culture, and 2000+ years. Thus a deep dive into the Hebrew and Greek texts is essential. It is also important to understand history (looking at the past 3000 years), as well as psychology, politics, and science. Yes, even science! After all, it took science to teach us that the earth revolved around the sun and not the other way around - which appeared to be contradictory to Scripture, thus causing some to be imprisoned by the Church.
      There are some TH-cam videos I would recommend. Dr. David Gushee: Ending the Teaching of Contempt against the Church’s Sexual Minorities. And Kathy Baldock: Untangling the Mess.
      In short, from my intense study on the subject, I am convinced that all of the same-sex passages in the Bible pertain to abusive sexual practices: gang rape, idolatry, pederasty (a type of pedophilia), etc. Please note that all of these would be equally as sinful if they were heterosexual in nature. We don’t see the “attack on gays” until the 3rd or 4th century (long after the Biblical passages were written). Thus the perspective people had about gays in the 1st century is paramount to properly understanding Romans 1, I Cor 6:9, and I Tim 1:10.
      From what I have studied, there was a LOT more homosexual activity going on in the first century than even today! Even then, such homosexual activity in and of itself was not considered bad by any of the biblical writers. Yet the abusive forms of such were bad - and thus Paul wrote what he wrote. I didn't just read some books to come to this conclusion, I traveled thousands of miles and researched in old archives, learned Greek and Hebrew at a master's degree level, and spent YEARS studying in order to really seek to understand what God intended from these "gay passages".
      I am serious about this because I learned that we have seen the largest amount of teen and young adult suicide in the past few decades - and guess what corresponds to that - the word "homosexual" wasn't even in the Bible until 1946, just a few decades ago. Keep in mind that before the King James Bible (1611), the German Bible was translated and it says in Lev 18:22 and 20:13 "man shall not lie with little boys as he does with a woman..." THUS pederasty (NOT homosexuality) was considered the sin in these verses as well as I Cor 6:9 and I Tim1:10.
      It's up to our generation to fix this! May God bless you!

      Eddie Brewster, I actually think that the Levitical passages are referring to cultic temple practices. I was simply pointing out how this passage had been translated as "pederasty" for centuries in another language. When people read their English version - without doing their homework - for some reason they think that is what the Bible has always said. I want to challenge people to step out of their ethnocentrism and dig in!

      Ian, yes no need to watch Netflix when there’s so much more interesting things to learn about God and ourselves with God. Just get cable to hook your laptop to your tv so these TH-cam videos you can watch more comfortably.
      Plus, I find really good movies on TH-cam. Another idea, you can get small speaker for your cell phone and listen to your interesting videos from TH-cam while you are doing dishes or fixing something in garage. These are examples of what I do for entertainment & learning.

    I appreciate that you explained that our role as Christians is not to convert Gays to become heterosexuals, but rather show them the love of God and let God do the work in them, just as He does in us all. The very term "born again" itself shows that every convert to Christianity is a radical change in their hearts and a turning away from all sin. For some, this is miraculous and is instantaneous, however for the majority of us, there is a constant battle between flesh and spirit. But, God is with us through it all.

    I was a bisexual who has turned away from lustful sin. I came to realize that i could not enter the kingdom of heaven having same sex relationships. Abomination will lead me to hell; i don't want to go to hell. God's unconditional love does not mean unconditional approval of behavior. God's blessings upon you all!

    I am so glad that I came to Jesus on my own at the highest point of sin and lowest point of life, I read the Bible O.T. first and then asked Jesus into my heart while reading the N. T. And even though I received Jesus I still had to put to death the sin that I had lived by for so many yrs. Jesus gave me all the weapons and power through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to put to the sin in my life, He made me a new man and a new creation. Now I battle sin that is on the outside outside ,but wants in, never ever give in to or justify sin. Fight the good fight of faith and stand pure and Holy before your God, for He is Holy!!!

      @bilbo baggins What kind of sexual sins? Homosexual or Straight? How much do you want to bind these sexual sins. How serious are you about battling these sexual sins. Get on you knees every day about this and call on Christ Jesus through Father God and call on the Holy Spirit. Put on the armour of Father God in Ephesians 6 and chose to make Father God the only one you worship and choose not to worship the sexual sin. Choose to worship Father God above all things. Choose to walk with Christ Jesus through Father God and confess to Christ that you are struggling with sexual sin. I have battled with sexual sins like you. But now we are under Grace and Our Father has already forgiven you, confess and repent daily whenever sexual sin from the flesh, the soul and the spirit wants to battle with you. But I don't know which sexual sins you are battling, to tell me makes all of the difference. You mean well and you want to live a life pleasing to Father God. Are they thoughts or actions? Because if they are these are things that you are battling in the mind and in the flesh. Write back to me and I will share with you how I was not alone in the battle of sexual sins. I can assist you and share with you how Christ helped me on if you want me to. I know that you wanted the man who worships God to tell you, But until you get his attention, I can help a Godly way and in a loving way in the meantime. PEACE AND LOVE TO YOU BROTHER BAGGINS. May you escape this threat in your life because you will. And i hope that I do not sound too preachy but what I said above really helps and I want you to escape that which is troubling so because I have been there too and maybe what I say may help you because you don't deserve to have to fight this alone, You were honest enough to put this on YT and I want to be honest to you too and share with you my troubles so that you will not feel alone. There are a lot of people who struggle with sexual sin and you don't want it in your life anymore and this aligns with the word of God and He will deliver you just as He delivered me from it. It is different for each of us how you will be delivered. We can pray for each other if you feel that this will help. But you are special and nothing but grace and peace will come to you when you overcome this and you will.

    Good explanation! It seems most people with same-sex temptations don't want to be transformed - they want their desires to be accepted by the church. In Jesus we have ultimate acceptance and love -and I pray that every person who struggles with this false identity and temptations would let God love them.

    Very good teaching that gives answers to all those who have accepted twisted doctrinal justifications for sin. In the Bible, God uses very clear and blunt terms to describe homosexual relationships by saying " it is perversion" Dr. Brown is being very gentle to a people who will be refused access to heaven and suffer an eternal death. It is by the "Fear of the Lord that men will depart from evil" If we do not properly warn people of the judgement to come for their sin we fail at being an ambassador for Christ. Pull them out of the fire with the clear truth of the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    I listen to your speech. I agree that we should not shun the LGBT community. We should show them love. However, we are not to pretend that this life style is acceptable to God. *One parent asked, "And what does the bible say about it anyway?"*
    Here's what it says:
    *Genesis **1:27**-28, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created him male and female. And God bless them and God said unto them, before four and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it.*
    *Mark 10:6-9 “But from the beginning of the creation God made the male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife. And they two shall be one flash so they are no more two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together let no man person asunder (separation).* Its obvious that God never or will ever support LBGT relationships.
    Just because you maintain a relationship with your daughter, I maintain relationships with friends/families along with others who have friends and family members in the lifestyle *it is still considered a sinful union according* to the teachings of Christ.
    *Our show of love and support will not invalidate, void or disqualify God’s purpose for man and woman. Lies will never become truths and truths will never become lies.* Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Furthermore, our love for those in the gay community will not change God's description of their lifestyle referring to it as an abomination.
    Yes, there are certain topics in the bible that are not expounded on. But same sex life style is not one of them. *I am sorry but you cannot use what you obvious want to pretend do not exist in the bible as support to say God is not against homosexual lifestyles. Why? Because Jesus did speak about relationships approved by God, saying at the beginning of creation God made the male and female and their purpose. He never emphasized or supported same sexed relationships ever. *"And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,"* (Matthew 19:4)
    Jesus made no secret that God approves of marriage between a man and a woman. He said a man shall leave parents to be joined to his wife (female) becoming one flesh. *Did Jesus say a man shall leave his parents and be joined with a man? Or a woman shall leave her parents and be joined to a woman?*
    No he didn’t. Why? Because the law of man and woman relationships was established at creation and God never permitted a deviation from that. Chapters 18 and 20 of Leviticus form part of the Holiness code and list prohibited forms of intercourse, including the following verses:
    "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." Chapter 18 verse 22[2]
    "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them." Chapter 20 verse 13[3]
    *While every human being is valuable in the sight of God, [including homosexuals] the truth is homosexual sex itself is forbidden in the Bible.* Jesus affirmed the dignity of all human beings and reaches out compassionately to persons and families suffering the consequences of sin. His Gospels offers compassionate words of solace to struggling people, *while never deviating from His clear teaching on love for him and God requires deviation from sinful practices.* (1 John 2:4 ) “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
    The bottom line, Christ said if you love me keep my commandments. He commands that we follow God’s relationship expectations for man and woman. If you Got a problem with it than according to Christ you don’t love him because he specified that marriage is between a man and a woman.
    As Christians how did Christ say to handle those who live and act contrary to his words? He teaches us to love our neighbor and treat others the way you want to be treated. The problem is we want to satisfy man more than God because we are weak when when it comes to correcting love ones acting contrary to the Gospel but have no problem correcting other believers who are unrelated.
    *Just because it’s someone you love living contrary to scripture doesn’t make sin approvable.* Especially when you know it’s wrong and you compromise your walk with God accepting and advocating for wrong behavior to avoid arguments and the possibility of that love one or friend cutting you out of their lives.
    *You cannot walk with the devil and hold hands with God.* Jesus said, “ if you keep my Commandments, you shall abide in my love even as I have kept my father‘s Commandments and abide in his love.” So, if God says marriage is between a man and a woman and your lifestyle conflicts with his doctrine than you are not keeping God’s commandment and according to Jesus you are not in his love because You’re not abiding in him.
    No argument can challenge God’s principle regarding the creation of man and woman and marriage. *The worst lie is the one you tell yourself contrary to biblical truth.* “Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.” Proverbs 12:22
    To God be the glory amen!

    We all sin. Constantly and consistently. And then we must acknowledge and repent. And try your hardest to rely on our Lord to help you not sin. But you will fall..... and He will pick you up. Again and again and again. Because He knows you are trying. Trying to trust Him, trying to rely on Him and trying to live the way He wrote in "The Life Manual" (Bible). You can't lie to Him because he knows your heart. So, just keep trying, keep repenting, keep relying on our Lord and you will continue to grow in Him. And in God's time, you will cease that particular sin. Remember - the human employer asks for results. But God asks for effort. (If you could do it without Him..... you wouldn't need Him.)

    This is soooooo helpful to me. My daughter has a Transgender Friend and I have sooooo TRIED to help her. She is wanting and basically is a boy!!! I sent her this video. She loves the Lord she does!! But this video Dr. Brown was soooooo helpful . Thank you and May god's grace upon you dear brother.       You are assuming your daughter's transgender friend believes in the same god you do. What if she doesn't? What if she believes in one of the polytheistic gods who are perfectly okay with that sort of thing? I'm transgender and I can promise you if someone sent me this video, it wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference to how I feel.

    At the end all amounts to who do you love the most, God or yourself?.If you love God above all thinks (to love Jesus is to deny yourself and trust God) you will do his will but if you love yourself above all thinks you will do the thinks that make you happy (love,all types of pleasure,leisure,ect) and make you contempt.When you set your self esteem and self centered attitude/goal higher than your love for God then you make a bridge (spiritual bridge) between you and God.God wants to have an intimate spiritual relation with us, he wants to be 100% a part of our lives and decisions so he could help us make the right ones in all parts of our lives.We weren't made for the purpose of self exaltation and for the purpose of seeking a happy and enjoyable live on this earth.
    We were made for the purpose of sharing God's kingdom , love and friendship with God. Adam was considered God's friend, he spoke to God on a one to one basis, and to worship God in spirit and in truth we must reach that relationship through Christ.If we understand that reality we will want to reconnect with God and reestablish that intimate relationship we were meant to have from the beginning of creation but to reestablish that relationship we must accept God's terms and conditions (it was man who rebelled against God and disobeyed God not the other way around).The starting point is accepting by faith his grace through Jesus atonement in the cross.When we do that our sinful carnal nature is buried with Christ and our spiritual nature is risen with our Lord and Savior in his resurrection.That's exactly what Saint Paul meant when he was describing different sins that people do (homosexuals, effeminate, murderers,idolaters,ect) then he goes on saying that some of them were like that but by the grace of God they were transformed..
    If you are struggling with homosexuality,pornography or any other sexual sin but you allow Jesus,The Holy Spirit and The Father to enter your live and break the chains that have you under submission and imprisoned you will never be alone and an outcast from God's Kingdom!.Take my word for it, I once WAS an outcast from God's kingdom but by the grace and mercy of God I am NOW counted among His children!.ALLELUIA , glory be to the ALL MIGHTY GOD AND HIS HOLY SON JESUS CHRIST WHO SET ME FREE FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN!!!!!!!!!

    Jesus didn't say not to judge. I encourage you to read the entire parable because the context is pretty explicit.
    “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. “Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.” (Matthew 7:1-7).
    It’s not the person that we judge, it’s the SIN that we judge. We have a responsibility to correct sin in our brothers and we cannot do that unless we judge and convict sin in the manner that Christ did as a means of leading to repentance.
    “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. (Matthew 18:15-17)
