I noticed one big problem any pilot may face in a dogfight, after he hit you, you got him to overshoot but you lost eye-contact, allowing him to correct his mistake and regain the advantage. Not trying to say you were at fault or anything, I just wanted to point out how devastating it can be to lose your enemy for even a second in a dogfight. But props to you GS for managing to get lucky enough to kill him after that. But once I get myself into DCS, I am gonna want to give it a go GS, so be prepared for some aggressive Flanker gameplay!
We reached peak dogfight performance in aircraft back then. There wasn’t really any way to improve on the F-16/15 kinematically except for a UFO like the F-22.
The Block 50+ F-16 only shares the same airframe as the F-16A from the 70s, it's come a long way in terms of avionics and upgrades. The Block 70 that's sold to overseas customers even has now some of its electronics borrowed from the F-35.

Pretty sure even the Gripen E has a better climb rate than an F-16, despite a weaker engine. The F22 also beats either while being a stealth plane, which is doubly impressive. Like, the Tens are great planes, but theyre not perfect. Would take them over SU-27/35s though.

So Growling Sidewinder so a good F16 pilot on the day would have destroyed the su35 by very close match, but if it was a average class F16 pilot the F16 was screwed...? Is this what the simulation show..?
It seems the F-16 is limited by its single engine when the aircraft is loaded down. The Navy wanting twin engines for a long time seems to make a lot of sense now.
That single of the F-16 is gigantic compared to the small sized F-18 engines. I wouldnt say its a limit. Also F-35 is a single engine too and guess why. Studies showed that twin engines arent that safer. Due to the small distance between them, if one explodes its very likely that the second engine will be damaged too.
I can't even wrap my head around how you can get an overshoot on this thing and then 5 seconds later its back on your six. Shouldn't the maneuvers necessary to do that cost a ton of speed?

Yup, TGP is used in real life for Visual ID and intercept, the Jammer is for Syrian SAMs, the HTS pod is the 1 thing that isn’t needed cuz I didn’t harms but I doubt they’re taking that on and off for every mission.

Question, if you're both armed for Air-To-Air, and you say your heavy because of it, why were only guns used? He was flaring a lot in the 4th fight, so it seems he thought missals were a possibility. Wouldn't using some missals have kept him off balance while also lightening your load? Just asking.

@@Mike_Romeo They are not equal. Compare the technical specifications yourself. Su35 in the video was doing something incomprehensible. Su35 is better controlled at low speed, SU35 is faster.

I would think in this scenario if they’re loaded with the whole 9 yards you’d simulate weapons free (allow for fox 2’s and such)

Ya, they want it more for reliability tho from my understanding so if an engine fails it can still make it back to the carrier on the other engine
