Vatista Voice Comparison (CV: Nao Tōyama) | Under Night In-Birth II [SYS:Celes]

The ephemeral wispiness to her voice is gone, for better or for worse.
Vatista has a couple of built-in reasons to be sounding different compared to the cast. The first would be that she's been awake for 3 months now compared to the first big Hollow Night that had her wake up and enter combat a couple minutes into it. The second would be operating on her own will instead of obeying her programming has reverted her slightly back to her "older" persona as we saw in the Yato-Licht Kreis history lesson. The third is just that her voice actress has been voicing characters on the complete opposite end of the personality spectrum for the past 10 years. I don't think it's significantly worse but 1 just sounds way cuter and has that the vocal emphasis I'm used to.
Nao Toyama is rather famous these days for voicing female gorillas and other genki girls. Before all of those famous roles though, she voiced Vatista in 2012 alongside and I think she really nailed voicing the emotionless robot girl who has a penchant for onomatopoeia. It also made for a significantly easier video to make compared to the likes of Merkava too.
