As a 34 yo I totally get how important it is to have your own space. Def get, the privacy fence, the ring doorbell for security and maybe a camera on the rooftop as well so everything is all linked. In your office an L shaped desk in the middle with maybe a 2 seat sofa so Taryn has a comfy place for the podcast as well. I would definitely say you should get an l shaped desk. I have a l shaped desk for school and it’s really nice because it has a lot of room and I have a lot of supplies for school so I can organize it with all the space so I would recommend getting the desk!

If you want to make it more homey, I recommend some warmer toned woods for a table or stool or etc. also make sure to do pops of warmer tone colors in the decor!

For your office you should do 2 straight desks. One you keep you desk top on, that one would be facing the window, and the other in front of that so you would be facing the door. You’d keep that one empty so you could put your laptop on it or if Taryn is there she has a place to put her stuff.
Love love love the place. I am so happy for you!! The only thing that would bother me personally is the stairs. I currently live upstairs and didnt think it would be a big deal. However, carrying groceries is NOT fun. Plus its a lot more hot upstairs too. I live in Orange County so you are aware of the heat we just had this summer. As I have got older I want fewer things (so I dont have to move them lol) and I want no stairs and no grass to maintain. I am so excited for you and this next chapter!!
