would be supplemented by events that have occurred through 2022.

I still have to hear Bible prophecy teachers answer the question why Jesus has said in Rev 3:3; 16:15 and implied it in Matt 24:42-44 that He's *coming like a thief* and that Paul and Peter also said, *"The day of the Lord will come like a thief* _in the night."_

✝️ 🇺🇸 If I’m understanding your question correctly; It’s because Matthew 24 + 25 is the Upper Room discourse about Israel in the 2nd half of the Tribulation, not Rapture verses and chapters. Rapture verses are 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, John 14:1-3, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-10,
      1 Corinthians 15:51-53, 1 Thessalonians 1:10, Jeremiah 30:7, Revelation 3:10,
Revelation 11:15-19 (the Church is already in Heaven while the Tribulation is taking place).
      - The above verses aren’t the entire list, but they’re the most prominent ones about the actual Rapture.

✝️ From what I’ve been taught, the term ‘thief in the night) pertains to Israel (also Gentiles) in the Tribulation period, and NOT to the Church in any sense. It’s all about context, context, context.
While it’s a great analogy for the imminency of the Rapture, the many contexts referring to a ‘thief’, all pertain to those unbelievers in the Tribulation period.
It’s my understanding that the reference to ‘thief’ in Matthew is speaking to the Jews (and Gentiles) in the Tribulation period, because Jesus was speaking to the Jews on the Mount of Olives.
The verses in 1 Thessalonians 5:2 and 5:4 are speaking to the ‘Day of the Lord’ which pertains to Christ’s 2nd Coming immediately following the Great Tribulation.
Both these verses are telling them that they do not need to fear ‘The Day of the Lord’ aka The Tribulation. He’s saying they need not have anxiety, because they’ll already be gone in the Rapture.
Again, from my understanding, any ‘thief’ reference in Scripture is speaking to the Tribulation and it’s climax, and not about the Church.
      1 Thessalonians 5:2
For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord is coming just like a thief in the night.
(Talking about the Day of the Lord)
      1 Thessalonians 5:4
“But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness, so that the day would overtake you like a thief; “
      - Meaning they won’t be present because they’ve already been Raptured - Church
      Revelation 16:15
“Behold, I am coming like a thief ! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed !”
(Speaking about 2nd Coming after Tribulation)
      Revelation 3:3
“So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Then if you are not alert, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.”
      2 Peter 3:10
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be discovered.”
(Talking about the end of the Tribulation)
The following is credited to an article on the Bible Prophecy Blog website…
“The New Testament never analogizes the rapture with the coming of a thief. While the New Testament uses "thief" imagery seven times (Matt. 24:43; Luke 12:39; 1 Thess. 5:2,4; 2 Pet. 3:10; Rev. 3:3; 16:15), none of these references contextually allude to the rapture.”

✝️ 🇺🇸 There’s going to be plenty of people who will be marrying, eating and drinking, and just going on through life even though their in the Tribulation.
I learn most all of my Bible teaching from Dr. Andy Woods. Check out both his series on the Rapture and Revelation - TH-cam channel - and he can explain it way better than I’m attempting to here.

    1 Thessalonians 5: 4-6
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as others; but let us watch and be sober.

I was flying over Mount St. Helen in 1980 with a massive mushroom cloud billowing skyward. Our pilot told us to go to the port side of the plane. We were very high up altitude wise. But we all saw that dark grey cloud below us. Maybe that pilot took a risk, but he would have known about it due to the constant communication to all flights in that area.

I agree that the Rapture will occur at any moment. Although Matthew 25 has nothing to do with the church or the rapture. Matthew 24 and 25 concern the Jewish people during the tribulation. See Andy Woods for his commentary.

The only thing I disagreed with was his description of “the outpouring of the Holy Spirit”.
What we are seeing in NAR and other “churches” is NOT the Holy Spirit.

“Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost more than you are willing to pay.” My dear brothers and sisters in Christ (Born-Again), please repent and return to the Lord. Also, all others who are not (Born-Again), come to the Lord Jesus for the first time. His arms are wide open for you. He loves you. Please folks, read your Bible. The True and Living God of the Bible told us 2,000 + years ago that Israel would be ‘reborn’ in the “last days”. God tells us that He will gather His people (Jews) from all the nations in the world where they had been scattered and bring them back into their original homeland, Israel. This happened on May 14, 1948 and also He predicted that Jerusalem would finally be in the complete control of the Jews. This happened during the 6 day war in 1967. But God tells us that when Israel becomes a nation again, that it would become the center of severe controversy to all nations. Also, the Bible predicted the following; (strange weather patterns, lawlessness, lovers of one’s self, unforgiving and no natural affection toward others, etc). All these things will happen just before the return of His precious Son Jesus. Please, once again, read the Bible and before doing so, sincerely ask God to reveal Himself to you. Please start reading in the Gospel of John because John specifically wrote this Gospel so that you may know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and that by truly believing in Him and inviting Jesus into your heart, you will be saved and granted eternal life in Heaven. Please invite Jesus into your heart as (Lord and Savior, becoming Born-Again) and you will be saved if you really mean it. Again, if you really mean this your life will be changed and it will be obvious to your friends, family and others (Born-Again-Christians) that Jesus has entered into your heart because you won’t be able to stop talking about Him. (I recommend that you go to TH-cam and search for Pastor Chuck Smith or Pastor Mike Winger) as these two teach the Bible very well. Also in TH-cam, search for Ray Comfort as God has given Ray a beautiful way of explaining why we all need Jesus Christ. Again though, If there is no noticeable change, (I.E. A hunger to start reading the Bible, going to a Bible believing and teaching Church, overwhelming desire to share Jesus with others, etc) you probably weren't sincere and didn’t really become (Born-Again). Be sincere and join the family of the "Living God". God bless all of you! In Jesus' name I pray, Amen

    DREAM - MAY 2018
    (J-U-N-E)
It was the shortest dream I have had but the most powerful. It seemed to take only 2-3 seconds of actual time.
It opened with me looking at / over / across an empty field. It was peaceful and nothing was happening. Immediately, the ground shook and burst open. Up out of the ground came four massive monoliths, huge carved stones (imagine stone henge size). The stones were white. Each had been carved to form a letter. The letters spelt J-U-N-E. The dream ended and I was wide eyed and awake.
Obviously this was revealing something earth shattering, something monumental, something powerful. It was written in stone, promised and guaranteed, set to happen? Something that would occur in JUNE. But what, and in which year?
What / who could burst forth from the earth with such unannounced suddenness ...in J-U-N-E?
    1Cor 15:51-52?
    1Thess 4:16-17?
    June ...2022??
    Pentecost?
    June?
    2022?

      Exactly.

    • @JesseMgala

Where does it say "during the tribulation?" It's all an opinion.
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit has started on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2. The day of the Lord encompasses the tribulation and the destruction of present heaven and earth. So the Holy Spirit is being poured even today to those who want to receive the Holy Spirit.
but *this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel:* ‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says, ‘That *I will pour forth of My Spirit on all mankind;* And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams; Even on My bondslaves, both men and women, I will in those days pour forth of My Spirit And they shall prophesy. And I will grant wonders in the sky above And signs on the earth below, Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness And the moon into blood, *Before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come.* And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
      Acts 2:16‭-‬21 NASB1995

Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.
The Capitol "C" Church, as we use the word today, is not found in the entire Book of Revelation. Individual church bodies in ancient Asia Minor are found. In Revelation 12:11 we find those under the blood of the Lamb. A person cannot be under the blood of the Lamb and not be a part of the New Covenant Church of Jesus Christ. Verse 12 of this passage proves at least part of the tribulation period is the wrath of Satan upon the people of God.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
    =====================
"It may come as a surprise to most pre-Trib prophecy students that the post-Trib position (in its primitive form) is the oldest point of view."
The quotation above is from the book "Will You Escape The Tribulation? RAPTURE [Under Attack]", by Tim LaHaye, copyright 1998, Page 197.
    ===================================
The gathering of the Church is described at the end of 1 Thess. Chapter 4, and the timing of the event is found in chapter 5. The word “But” in the first verse of chapter 5 connects the two chapters, and the words “we” and “sleep” in verse 10 of chapter 5 prove the two chapters are connected.

Proof of A Pre trib Rapture. Pay Attention to the Cloud and Clouds Jesus appears In and With. Act's chapter 1 verses 9 10 11 Cloud. In Red Luke chapter 21 verses 27 and 28 Jesus is coming In A Cloud the Rapture. In Revelation chapter 1 verse 7 Jesus is coming With the Clouds when he comes back to the Mt of Olive the second coming KJV.
