Most interesting thing in my bag. A Louis Vuitton cosmetic pouch that I have re-purposed for carrying tee's, ball markers and pitch repair tools. Before playing golf, that LV pouch was my worst purchase ever. Too small to even get a toothbrush in. Now, it works perfectly for golf bits 👌
I have a homemade waterproof towel hood, a wet towel for the inside and a dry towel for the outside. I know there are towels already made like this but they are not entirely separated. Got tired of rewetting my towel at the turn and using my shirt to dry my clubs after cleaning.
Hi Genevieve, don’t want to sound weird, I’m a college golf coach and high school golf coach in Austin. Noticed a few months ago you were playing some of the courses around here. I’ve had a couple of international players play for me and lived at our home. One player was from Japan and lived here for two years and one was from Ecuador. Any way, if you ever need a place to stay and work on your game, you are welcome to use one of our spare rooms for as long as you would like to work on your game. I have access to quite a few courses as well. Blessings!
Agree on the focus on club distance rather than number. I hate when people ask what club I hit and they're expecting a number like 6 or 7. I tell them it was my 150 club.
I have never understood the fascination with the " Whats is the Bag" videos of other golfers either Gen. After all what suits one person, may not suit another. All the best for next year!

Yes, I put the block of wood behind my club head to slow down my take away. I use it on the range and on my carpet at home. Happy Holidays from Texas ✌
I still have my original putter from 1991 in the bag. Tommy Armour T line with the original grip, it never gets old to my eye. Caddies are dumbfounded seeing it next to my sparkling P790 irons and 8.5 deg. G425 LST. Everyone keeps telling me to get some technology in my putter face! Merry Christmas Gen!
I also have two putters (mallet with insert and blade with machined face) and I usually switch them about once a month. I feel that understanding how to use two totally different putters makes me better at controlling speed.

Yup. Bought new irons and the PW (46) and the 48 were just too similar. We’re talking 2-3 meters difference. Went to store and they checked the loft, actual loft was 46,5. So we adjusted it to real 49 now, took the 52 from actual 51 to real 53. Lot of people, me included, probably don’t check the actual loft on their wedges. Now my gapping is perfect
Cool video. Interesting to hear about your clubs and your thought process. Up until last year I kept a small paper booklet that my mom gave me when I started playing called “The Rules of Golf”. It was falling apart after all these years so I finally tossed it. Plus it was probably outdated. 😆

I also switch between different ball markers but the one I use the most are ones from waddaplaya. Lol
I have a Spudy Buddy I got awhile back after seeing yours. I went to U of Idaho so love the spudy. I'm planning to add a high lofted hybrid (28*) to use out of the rough since I recently had a shoulder replacement. Cheers!

Like the specs of the shaft, lightweight but stiff. Interesting about the oversized grips. I just came from Costco and they were selling the same style putter, blade/plummer neck for 140 I believe. Your wedge game is 💯 to me. Just off the green is the shot where i drop shots😥

Have the tours you’ve played on this year, been able to produce an overall percentages .I.e. averages for par 3’s, 4’s, 5’s, birdies, eagles, pars and bogeys (and others!!) sand saves, success rates for different putting ranges. How would you summerize your season overall? Best bits, worst bits, funniest thing you saw? Most famous person you met? Or am I just too nosey? 🤥🤗

Merry Christmas to you! My opinion, hybrids are always going to be easier to use than a long iron. There are several situations where a long iron might come in more handy. For instance, having to hit a shot under a tree or having to play in very windy conditions. Other than that, I think that the hybrid in general is easier to approach greens with and also, I find that I'm able to generate more spin with them since they're higher so I can stop the ball closer to the pins at those distances. Hope that answers your question! :)
@@GenevieveLingGolf yeah totally with you on hybrids being easier to use! Quality long iron play takes a bit of practice for sure. Very interesting to hear your take on this especially when it comes to approaching and hitting greens. I play the mizuno mp4 blades 4iron-pw and a bladed mp20 3 iron, and somehow especially on long par3s always prefered having a long iron in my hand cause for me it feels like it gives me a tad more workability and a bit more spin when i try to attack a pin/green from 190 or 200m out. Been thinking about this whole long iron vs hybrid thing very often though hahaha. Anyways thanks a lot for your answer, appreciate it a lot. You're a great person and one heck of a player. Always a pleasure to get your opinion on stuff :)
We didn't get to see the tee's, but do you have any preference? Wood/plastic? And I use tee's with lines around them so U can have the exact height on each tee shot. Why don't pros use them? Always been curious
What shafts and flex do you use in your irons and wedges? My daughter is a good high school player and If you are ever in Southern California she would love to play with you. Best of luck.
How is the spin rate on that driver? I have the 915D3 in 7.5 degrees which is a loft they don't make any more. Love my driver but it's getting on in years. I don't like 460cc drivers but the tsi4 is just a tad too small at 425cc and wish they still had my 440cc option. If the performance is there and the tsi3 has a low enough spin rate, I might be able to suffer through the enormity of it!
I don’t know the exact numbers but I actually changed to it because it has lower spin rates than my previous driver. I was hitting it much to high and my ball was back spinning on drives so this helped with that!
@@shahmd6 generally blades are “harder” to hit or at least less forgiving. Unless your swing speed is super high I think there’s really no reason to be using blades. I believe the i210s are one of the most used irons on the LPGA! Blades are probably used more by the men with over 100 swing speeds and obviously, who are pros who practice a lot and the blades would help them with precision. That’s just my opinion and what I’ve heard but I’m not a club fitter by any means! 😄
i carry two 5w in my bag one is a steel shaft and one is a graphite what is your carry for driver , 7i and pw and swing speed for each ty and best of luck

In my bag in winter here in the UK I carry a hip flask and 4 small stainless steel glasses to share out some Spanish brandy as we enter the back 9 :)

For instance, having to hit a shot under a tree or having to play in very windy conditions. Other than that, I think that the hybrid in general is easier to approach greens with and also, I find that I'm able to generate more spin with them since they're higher so I can stop the ball closer to the pins at those distances. @@GenevieveLingGolf yeah totally with you on hybrids being easier to use! Quality long iron play takes a bit of practice for sure. Very interesting to hear your take on this especially when it comes to approaching and hitting greens. I play the mizuno mp4 blades 4iron-pw and a bladed mp20 3 iron, and somehow especially on long par3s always prefered having a long iron in my hand cause for me it feels like it gives me a tad more workability and a bit more spin when i try to attack a pin/green from 190 or 200m out. Been thinking about this whole long iron vs hybrid thing very often though hahaha.

We didn't get to see the tee's, but do you have any preference? Wood/plastic? And I use tee's with lines around them so U can have the exact height on each tee shot. Why don't pros use them? Always been curious

How is the spin rate on that driver? I have the 915D3 in 7.5 degrees which is a loft they don't make any more. Love my driver but it's getting on in years. I don't like 460cc drivers but the tsi4 is just a tad too small at 425cc and wish they still had my 440cc option. If the performance is there and the tsi3 has a low enough spin rate, I might be able to suffer through the enormity of it!
I don’t know the exact numbers but I actually changed to it because it has lower spin rates than my previous driver. I was hitting it much to high and my ball was back spinning on drives so this helped with that!

@@shahmd6 generally blades are “harder” to hit or at least less forgiving. Unless your swing speed is super high I think there’s really no reason to be using blades. I believe the i210s are one of the most used irons on the LPGA! Blades are probably used more by the men with over 100 swing speeds and obviously, who are pros who practice a lot and the blades would help them with precision. That’s just my opinion and what I’ve heard but I’m not a club fitter by any means! 😄
