    Sea Blazers and Sea Rovers also receive another perk that you haven’t mentioned: they receive an extra $125 and $100 respectively when purchasing a $300 bar tab.

    I called Virgin and Sea Rover status is only given to those sailors who cruised with Virgin twice in 2022 and 2023. However, the rep said they will be rolling out a new expanded loyalty program in the future that will include all past guests and all past sailings. But they didn’t have more details or a timeline.

    485C is PMS Scarlet Red color. But this seems more like an April Fool’s joke. If not, great for you guys.

    Virgin Voyages extended the Status Match program to December 31, 2024. 🙂

      Virgin announced a brand new version of its loyalty program today. Status match is included. I’ll have a video on it very soon!

    My wife and I are still Sea-Blazers even though we cruised with Virgin Nov 2022 and Sep 2023. Maybe this September, we'll change status on our 3rd.

    I think VV is still rolling out more ways to join in 2024 (per their website)? I sailed with them in 2023. If I sail with them in 2024, would I receive deep blue extras on that sailing, or would it kick in on the next voyage?

      I called Virgin because I was confused about this too. They said sea rover status is only for those guests who cruised twice in 2022 and 2023. But they did say they will be rolling out a brand new loyalty program that will take into account all sailors and all past sailings. They didn’t have any more details or a timeline. But I’m guessing it will be rolled out beginning in 2025.

      Possibly. But I was still a paid passenger on that one. I just didn’t get to go. And now I’ve been in two additional cruises and still no 485c Oh well … I’m not bitter. 😁

    That's really tacky (and TBH, extremely sexist) that your husband qualified for Club 485c and you did not, even though you have the same purchase history. The arbitrary way you were denied Club 485c status was a truly trashy gesture on Virgin's part--is that the branding experience they are promoting? Yikes. I have to say, as someone new to the brand, I find their overall loyalty program (or lack thereof for new sailers) rather incoherent and counter-productive. I'm ok their celebrating early adopters with special perks but I really don't understand why as new sailors, there's no option for us to ever achieve a loyalty status. There is literally nothing to gain from sticking with the brand for new customers like myself. Well, I'll go on my Virgin cruise later this year, but there's absolutely no incentive to ever sail with them again. That is literally lowest in class loyalty program. As for my speculation of what 485c is, it sounds like an IRS form.

      I found it odd too. But honestly the perks are nice bit I don’t need them. Especially because I sail with my husband so we both benefit.
      I think everyone who sails twice reaches sea rover status. But I’m not positive. I’ll check into that. I have heard Virgin is going to be launching a new program for all sailors based on spend. But haven’t heard anything official.

      I inquired at reservation with my agent, who called Virgin and confirmed that we will never qualify for Sea Rover status and that there is no loyalty program for new customers (as of January, but nothing is updated to their website three months later). Overall, we are unimpressed--at this point Virgin just doesn't incentivize new customer loyalty. Hopefully the cruise experience will be good enough that it won't matter. As for your experience, while you are accommodating, it does raise serious flags about their governance.

I hope you enjoy your cruise even with this loyalty program confusion.
