That was good. Learnt lots. I used to have a 1963 Splitscreen Wesfalia that I restored when I was 18. Took it around Europe in 1985 and had a blast. Wish I had your skills and workshop when doing it! Looking forward to following this.

I would generally recommend a MIG to start with. But I much prefer TIG because you can slow down a bit, see what you are doing more and they are much better welds. Maybe check out some combo machines that do both. I prefer Miller but there are some new competitors in the market I have heard good things about. Both of my Millers are from 2003 going strong (I did have to send out a board on the TIG for repair). Good luck on your fabrication journey.

Hi...good work! Working on my 1st WJ... will be working/welding on it this summer...can you recommend a welder for beginners...thanks
