This may sound like a joke, but it's actually real solid advice. We all have a tendency to focus on our character when we should be focusing on the opponent and reacting to what THEY'RE doing

I just wish there were more options for escaping pressure. Especially with the net-code and frame delay. Some of those mix-ups are almost impossible to block.

Just wanted to say I enjoy your tutorials, your DBFZ content, your live streams. You seem very real, respectful yet blunt and no sugarcoating of your goals for the channel. No baseless theory videos, no meaningless countdowns or top lists, just quality gameplay and occasional insightful tutorials/analysis.
Can you do a video on what’s positive, when to reflect, how to know the end of a block string, when to safely guard cancel and so on ?
QDA Knowing the end of a block string is kinda character specific and can depend on assist. Just watch and study your opponent carefully
What's positive would be helpful, the rest are dependent on the opponent. He could provide some common examples, but can't cover everything obviously. There BnB "true" blockstrings, and then there are semi-blockstrings used to mix-up. The latter can be different per opponent, and so you just have to make a read. However since they aren't "true" blockstrings you can punish them in the small gaps they leave. You just have to know where they are.
It's never 100% safe to guard cancel. You can get clipped by *any* string whether Light, Medium, or Heavy. It's literally frame dependent whether you get a clean reset or not (at least it seems), and since it's impossible to accurately guard cancel so you are not hit by said frame(s) in a string, you can't guarantee safety. Even if the opponent does a heavy, which you normally can't continue your string after, they can have a support on deck or go into a down heavy to punish your cancel. This is why it's only a last resort in tournament play, more often then not it's not even used. It's just poorly designed, using one meter yet still punishable.
Check out DBFZ frame data. That'll tell you what's positive and what's unsafe. GunFrameZ is a good source.

Really good video. Needed a quick refresher on these points, and now other people will get to know them as well. The only things missing were some *exercises/practice-drills* _(like in the IAD video),_ using the record function (or another player possibly; for different, complicated situations), that help to reinforce the points said. Other than that, solid advice!
With defense (from the 5 fundamentals) taken care of, what you could cover next is probably some stuff on *neutral.* Now, we all know neutral is a _big_ concept, having _mind games_ and all that, but it must be tackled. Getting to learn the _spacing,_ _range of_ *_pokes,_* etc., would help you improve _immensely_ _(once everything else is on point, of course)._ Again, getting down all the nitty-gritty things _first_ *before* getting into the hard stuff.
Possibly after that, you could take on *pressure*; How to form and/or do block-strings with your specific team assists and whatnot.
_(Also, it's pronounced EH-muh-n, kinda like the name Emma, but just add an _*_n_*_ sound at the end. Didn't really noticed you said my name at first, until I went back and checked. It's okay, though, I don't mind ^_^)_
Defence would be real simple if frame delay didnt exist. Sadly said frame delay cause you to often just stand there like a deer in headlights and your forced to watch as you get hit by an overhead even though you held back. Offline is fine though(obviously)

Question, I've come across a problem in which brolys command grab can be avoided simply by crouching. Is this intentional? How is it possible?
Because Broly is so big it's not entirely unheard of for larger characters moves to miss some characters especially small ones. For instance I think one of Majin Buu's standing normals (a punch) will completely miss a crouching Gotenks (maybe even a standing Gotenks) because he's so short and has such a small hit box.
ThePlasticBowl but the grabs catch them when they are standing or crouching, it's missing when the they crouch during. This was against a 16 and a goku, so the height is not necessarily the issue
Oooh I see, I'm not sure about that then, could be a glitch were if the opponent times the crouch perfectly the couching animation cancels the grab but it could also be intentional that that happens.
I've actually noticed this happening a few times too, but I've been the one crouching and I see the animation (and since I'm bad) I just stay crouched like "oh he already got me with it" and then nothing happened lmao
Might be because they have invulnerability to command grabs while in a blocking frame

Ruri Gouken even though it's another goku it's actually way different from normal goku. His fighting styles is pretty much completely different. He never takes a fighting pose and etc etc. But if he was in the game it would be smart to have him play like Hit

There is no defense in Fighterz. It’s based off a series where the character never play defense and just take hits constantly so Bandai could care less about it. The offensive player always has the advantage and there is not nearly enough time to punish someone. The fact that I am expected to react to .45 nanoseconds of a gap in a block string when I am being hit with assists and punches and blasts is ridiculous. I gave up fighting online and only fight a friend because the online atmosphere is garbage and full of smurfs.
Im in serious crisis. I come up against people that literally pressure me so hard i have no time to punish them back…. Im so close to uninstalling this game.
If you're willing to uninstall a fighting game instead of going into practice mode to record and lab against the characters that beat you then fighting games aren't for you to begin with.
