Meet Dexter

Dexter spent a weekend with two of our foster volunteers and that was all it took to see what a calm, sweet, affectionate, playful, happy, and gentle companion he is. He is house trained, enjoys leisurely neighborhood walks, car rides, golf cart rides, and cuddling with you. He is a low to medium energy dog with polite indoor manners. When you are on the sofa, he will be by your side. He is a happy dog who will sleep curled up in bed with you. Once he settles on your bed, he is still for the night and wakes up when you do. Dexter gives the best “boxer” hugs when you come home, and the happiest wiggle butts when he sees the leash - he loves his people and going for walks. Dexter knows sit, down, shake, and wait. He offers his paw for a shake, will sit and wait at the door before each neighborhood walk, and sit for his food dish.
