The 13:06 call- if both fencers go for a beat on the blade, is it simultaneous despite the footwork? Or is it like two attacks off the line where the attack is given to the fencer who commits to the attack more? Just haven't encountered that often.
If both come of the line, beat at the same time and then attack simultaneously it's called simultaneous. If there is a simultaneous beat you can't disregard the footwork though, it still applies. You're right, it is a rare one to see, usually one person chickens out in that situation :D
