I love Kevin tutorials. Very good explanation, align with the official cert guide and blue print. I'm still doing my ENCOR about 60% done and needed this to setup my debugging lab
Hope you and your family(including youtube followers) are well and doing great in this global pandemic. As always, on point and a great teacher!!! Thank you very much and it has helped me a lot to brush up myself!!!😊😊👍👍
Your videos are absolutely amazing... I truly enjoy them. I love the animations on top of the configuration videos. Really helps keep things into perspective. Do you have a website for training or do you only do videos on youtube?
Kevin I absolutely love your teaching style and clarity but your courses are so wicked expensive. What are the possibilities of your ccnp courses being discounted in any way?
Hello Mr. Wallace, first of all i'd like to thank you for the great materials you are producing. Regarding this video, i am a bit confused regarding the following statement. When you configured the default metric in order to cancel the default metric of infinity and allow OSPF routes to be redistributed into EIGRP you said that MTU is used as a tie breaker. If you ever see this comment and have the time to spare i would appreciate a more detailed answer on this ? In my preparation for the ENARSI exam i found a blog post which stated that MTU is used as a tie breaker when EIGRP must decide which route will install in the RIB when it has to choose between multiple equal cost paths. I build a lab where a router has two equal cost paths to a remote prefix, but on the path via the neighbor with the lower IP address i lowered the ip mtu value along the path. As expected, when inspecting the topology table for the remote prefix i noticed the minimum MTU value which was carried in the updates. I forced the router to chose only one route from the topology table by configuring maximum-paths to 1. The route chosen was the one via the neighbor with the lower IP address even if the minimum mtu value was lower on that path. That tells me that the MTU is not used at all. I found statements that say that mtu was written into the protocol by cisco and they wanted to use it, but eventualy dropped the idea and it is just there but does nothing. I admin that my knowledge may be limited and this is why i kindly ask you to share more info on this subject. And if you have time, in a packet capture i noticed that modifying the max-paths value makes the router send an update message to all of his neighbors in which it advertises as unreachable (delay set to infinity) only the prefixes for which it balances. As a response to that the neighbors send an unicast ACK message. Is this a way to validate that the neighbor still has a route to those prefixes and should be taken into consideration when deciding which route to choose for installation in the rib ? Best regards.
Thank you for keep doing your fantastic work during this difficult time. What a better way to be socially responsible that stay home and see one of your amazing videos.
Kevi, the default metric command under the routing process( first method). Is it going to only affect the metric of redistributed routes or all the routes advertised by the process?
Thank you Kevin for continuing to be a leader in the industry.
The best routing protocols route redistribution explanation ever.
Thank you for everything you do for the community! You're my favorite online teacher by far.
Best redistribution tutorial on the internet. Trust me, I looked! Thanks Kevin!

Thanks Kevin for clarify me the concept of redistribution
It is a great video for beginners like me!
Thank you so much sir!!
Wonderfully explained.. Thanks a lot sir!
Many thanks Kevin! If I could give you a hug I would, but you know "Social Distancing". I'm currently studying for the ENCOR 350-401
what an amazing explanation, thanks Kevin

Splendid!! Enjoyed!! 👍
Great video, thank you this was very helpful
thank you so much, can you please made video about how configure MTU in Layer 2?
Great stuff!
Nicely explained thanks!
Why can't I get Degault-metric options? Are you on GNS?
thank you
Well done!!!!!!!
Thank you sir!
Sir I downloaded securecrt.
I need license for it.
For unlimited usage, what I need to do for it. How I can license it.
