Very nice. Just enough to keep you busy during long passages. Can't wait to see her after a little elbow grease. Something about wood boats, makes your soul feel alive. She has impressive credentials also. Take good care of her. Thanks for posting.

what a funky great old boat, she has some really interesting history. Reminds me of Eric and Susan Hiscock's boat Wanderer II , which is still sailing after 60+ years, now in the high latitudes. My wife and I are refitting a nice old (1970) freshwater Columbia 28 Mk II. The misses would like me to purchase a 40' or 42' blue water type boat. Keep posting, really enjoy your project, stay safe and don't clean her up too much, haha. Gary and Carolynn S/V Paladin

Hi- I was just about to respond to your request for the cabin tour--here it is! I need to get some extra lights and then will go back to film some detail in the engine room and battery areas. I think it is instructive to see how things are held together in there with tape and string. Not that I am advocating that anyone else should make similar repairs, but this vessel has a lot of miles on her... She will take care of me if I take care of her, so I'll do my part. Thanks for watching!

+Cruiser2B Thanks for watching! I shudder when I remember how bad these older videos were. I'm trying to bring my production quality up as well as improving the boat! I'll remember to take some video of the cabin as I go through the rest of the refit. This tour sure could use updating... IQ will always be a little rough around the edges, but she sure has come a long way!

Hi Gary and Carolynn, Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment. Don't worry about IQ getting cleaned up too much... At this point, I am just hoping for livable, and will be heading out for the summer cruising season with many projects left undone... I wish you all the best and hope that you enjoy your Columbia!
