The story behind the song touched my heart, for Ismo's grandma, for Mark's uncle and all of the people who we loved and passed away, we are quite on the other side and still loving you

I just found this song relaxing & working on my Playlist. My girlfriend passed away a year ago and I used to send her songs like this one. I wish she was still around to send this song to. I can't think of a better song that I sent her in the past or have heard to date to tell a lover how you feel. Simply great stuff!!

Empecé a escuchar Foster The People con 12 años, me obsesioné con la banda por su sonido. A los 13 los escuché en vivo por primera vez, y después a los 17. Después de ese momento me desencanté con la banda, sobre todo personalmente con ellos por demostrar una soberbia muy desagradable en varias de sus entrevistas. Les perdí el rastro. Hoy tengo casi 20 años, y por fin puedo empezar a verdaderamente entender las letras de sus canciones. Hago y estudio música GRACIAS a ellos, y sobre todo a Mark. Los estoy redescubriendo y volver a ellos siempre me llena de energía, me recuerda mis primeros acordes y mis primeras obsesiones musicales. Esta banda me cambió la vida, y me hace muy feliz saber que tienen una gran fanbase en Latinoamérica.

Miike Snow, Tame Impala, Glass Animals, Jungle, Chromeo, Two Door Cinema Club, Cherub, Arcade Fire, Portugal. The Man, Cage the Elephant, Pixies, Talking Heads, Crosses, Eagles of Death Metal (not metal music at all, they were going for the ironic angle lol), Phantogram, Broods, Chvrches and Purity Ring. All of those bands/artists are similar to Foster the People's electronic dancy unique sound and all have epic vocals. The last 4 suggestions have female vocalists. Arcade Fire has dual male/female lead vocalists. I hope you explore those suggestions and find something you love. I have heard this song in two stages of my life, well over a year ago while I was deeply in love with the woman I thought was the love of my life, almost crying of happiness because I found her and having my heart so full of love that brought me some tears for feeling as fortunate as I was back then, and now that we have lost each other due to some attitudes and stupid behaviors which tore down our love so slowly that I was unaware of this until it was just too late to fully recover. Now I'm again crying, but those are not sweet tears anymore. I can't remember if I did dedicated this song to her, but if I didn't, now I regret.

I love this song so much, it really changed my life. In quarantine i found foster the people and they never disappoint. I remember waiting until 12am on may 22nd for the song to drop. I listened to it in the dark and remember feeling so hurt but so numb to emotions. Foster the people is a really healing band in my opinion. I was having a really tough time but luckily i found this band at the right time. Im so happy that i found them. Thank you so much foster the people.
