plarium's profits off raid are increasing, the playerbase has "shrunk" back to where it used to be, but that's a given as it's both dipped under multiple times and gone well above it and it is 4 years old at this point paid sponsorships and reviews regularly include shade now though, it's not just raid. reviews and things like influencers not throwing some shade or pointing out things that are wrong with a game makes it look like a shill even if the individual genuinely enjoyed it the product it's the same reason companies for years now have learned when buying high reviews (for products, ala amazon's star system) to do low scores aswell, the less critical of something people are, esp when obviously paid the less people trust it and the less effective it is as a vehicle to sell or if you've ever gone to a used car salesman, it's why the bigger ones who make a fortune off their job talk about some of the (usually minor) flaws of the vehicle they're trying to sell while espousing how this is the right car for you and will be reliable

It's a grey area for me. Sure supporting a bad dev is bad, but if they have other devs with them who are genuine and relying on a paycheque, then I'd feel bad not to pay them for something I enjoy. During 2014, Scott Cawthon created the most popular indie horror franchise. FNAF 1-4 took 3 months for each one. Yandere Dev constantly comes up with excuses to why his “game” is taking so long to make. If one person can’t release 1 game in 9 years, and still claims the game is being made, obviously tells us that this guy doesn’t care to if the game is released. I’m amazed that he isn’t even in jail to how awful of a person he is. We can’t even call Yandere Dev a developer, because he’s put no dedication into his sorry excuse of a game, and just constantly makes profits that he didn’t deserve. I try my best to not get involved with these things, but I felt like I should give my thoughts to this. Overall, I don’t wish for YD to get better, because throughout the years he’s been on the internet, he’s shown no signs of remorse, guilt, or growth as a person. People like him need to be locked away, and never seen again.
Yandere Simulator is going to be Duke Nukem Forever all over again but ten times worst (since as far as I know no one in the DN Forever team was a nonce) Sometimes you just need to let it go, and YandereDev needs to let this thing go, even if he finishes the game, very few people will play it and even less people will be willing to pay for it (most likely it's gonna be pirated to DEATH), and If he decides to let someone else in charge of the project, it will also fail because Yandere Simulator's reputation is already tarnished, no one with 2 braincells would accept to continue it, it's just not worth going through all that madness

Hearing him talk about the promised story aspects, some I didn't even know because I stopped paying attention or supporting Yan Sim, made me think back on my time playing the game, now knowing that the few interesting characters and concepts will never be expanded upon because the game will never be finished. And although that is disappointing to me, with the heinous things he's been exposed for doing, I believe he doesn't deserve the audience he got in the first place, especially since, as you said, he got the starting success most better developers would dream of having due to a huge and extremely influential TH-camr finding the demo and playing it. He was very lucky, but instead of doing anything good, he used his fame to be a creep. (Also, good job saying correspondence right first try! 👏👏👏👏)
I was surprised that Yandere Dev still had significant fanbase despite all of his failures, e.g. on reddit they have r/osana which is kind of independently run without Yandere dev's banning. Unless any better alternative arises to this project the fans would continue waiting for this game.

I'm admittedly somebody who's been following YanSim's development for a while, and I feel frustrated and disgusted by Alex's actions. I hope that the victim is able to heal over time.
I do still hope that the game can somehow be completed, but I wish it wasn't being made by somebody who cares so little about the people he's hurt.
During 2014, Scott Cawthon created the most popular indie horror franchise. FNAF 1-4 took 3 months for each one. Yandere Dev constantly comes up with excuses to why his “game” is taking so long to make. If one person can’t release 1 game in 9 years, and still claims the game is being made, obviously tells us that this guy doesn’t care to if the game is released.
I’m amazed that he isn’t even in jail to how awful of a person he is. We can’t even call Yandere Dev a developer, because he’s put no dedication into his sorry excuse of a game, and just constantly makes profits that he didn’t deserve.
I try my best to not get involved with these things, but I felt like I should give my thoughts to this.
Overall, I don’t wish for YD to get better, because throughout the years he’s been on the internet, he’s shown no signs of remorse, guilt, or growth as a person. People like him need to be locked away, and never seen again.

Sometimes you just need to let it go, and YandereDev needs to let this thing go, even if he finishes the game, very few people will play it and even less people will be willing to pay for it (most likely it's gonna be pirated to DEATH), and If he decides to let someone else in charge of the project, it will also fail because Yandere Simulator's reputation is already tarnished, no one with 2 braincells would accept to continue it, it's just not worth going through all that madness

12:23 As somebody who was invested in Yandere Sim, enjoyed playing it, still likes many of the character designs, and honestly still finds the concept somewhat interesting, my reaction is...disappointment.
Hearing him talk about the promised story aspects, some I didn't even know because I stopped paying attention or supporting Yan Sim, made me think back on my time playing the game, now knowing that the few interesting characters and concepts will never be expanded upon because the game will never be finished. And although that is disappointing to me, with the heinous things he's been exposed for doing, I believe he doesn't deserve the audience he got in the first place, especially since, as you said, he got the starting success most better developers would dream of having due to a huge and extremely influential TH-camr finding the demo and playing it. He was very lucky, but instead of doing anything good, he used his fame to be a creep.
