In our inaugural episode, our judges confront the daunting challenge of assessing over 2000 hopefuls from across Lusaka. Only a select few will advance to compete for the coveted title of Zambia's first Icon.

I think Kazadi knows it all!🤣🤣 Even if a well-established rapper were brought in as a judge, I'm certain Kazadi would end up arguing with them, just like he does with Kidst. It almost feels like the competition is more about a judge's ego than the actual singers. As a former music producer and composer, I believe only Ballard has a good ear for music and notes. But it seems no one can challenge the Boss. Yabaaa🤣🤣🤣🤣 The hardest person to convince is someone who believes they are always right and know more than others. Regarding the competition, I firmly believe Peniel is far too talented for this small contest.

It's the first time i'm commenting on a TH-cam video in years and I'm still finishing the episode. But nah Kazadi and Kiddist you guys need to be called out on how you did Keziah. If this show is about talent then let it be about talent, the last judge was right, she hit all the right notes and she is very talented, it doesn't matter how she dressed or whatever. Y'all missed the mark on that one. Let's rate based off talent, thats a more fair way of doing this. So many people may not be privileged or able to do the aesthetics in Zambia and y'all should understand that local dynamic. I don't think I'm the only one feeling like this.

The judges need to ton it down a bit. Kazadi is demarketing himself and the show. The judges lack approachability, feel unrelatable to their audience. A free tip as you judge the contestants, the audience is judging you, your energy, your empathy, your music knowledge. A positive the guy interviewing the contestants is doing a stellar job. He gets my vote. Ballad Zulu gets my vote. Kidist and kazadi unfortunately it's a no for now, if you follow the advice there's hope for you next time. Otherwise looking forward to the next episode.

The judges have to acknowledge the fact that it takes alot of courage to participate on a show like this. A good number of these contestants did not perform well not necessarily due to lack of talent but external pressure and nerves played a role.
On that note, I feel the judges need to be judicious With their choice of words, lest they injure these young contestants' esteem. There Young People guyz come on!
We know they (judges) also want to shine in the eyes of the audience, but theres no need to be harsh! Take It Easy!!😅
The real world doesn’t care about nerves. That’s the sad truth. You have to give it your all whenever you get an opportunity and usually only 1 chance at each opportunity. So hope they learnt from this one and can do better when another opportunity calls.

Songs have picks and lows allow the contestants to finish their songs so that you can actually judge properly after listening the entire song.

Kazadi makes it so apparent that he's in control. And he rushed into wanting to have the duo split up. It was great how Kidist gave it to him by changing her decision. Question is are looking to help hone one's skill or you're only looking for shining light on someone already made? We understand the judges are new to this, this should also understand the contestants a little bit more.

The only judge that gave technical feedback was Ballard.
Kazadi’s feedback was just surface level stuff that he was saying with a lot of bass and speed. Someone please tell him to talk less. He knows much less than he thinks he does, the talking too much is revealing that.
Also he’s portraying himself as boss, showing that the buck stops at him. It’s disrespectful to the other judges.
Kidist’s judgement actually wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Loved the little moments she stood up to David😅
