Great video but I myself prefer the "older" non-DFC design. Those extra parts in the rotor head assembly reduce the workload on the servos and also reduce the likelihood of a servo gear stripping in a crash. Just wanted to point that out for those who may be new to helis.
it is matter of opinion and choice buddy. In OMP M2, servos are designed to take that work load, and servo horns are designed in a way that upon a crash, they are the first thing to break and save the servo gears. anyway those are metal gear servos :)
The non DFC design is easier on servos for crashes because the linkage is not rigid to maintain swash phasing. More likely to bend or break a linkage than strip servo gears. Normal flight the servo load is the same as DFC.
When deciding between the 2 helicopters for which one to purchase. I chose the E180 for its better looks and because the controller looked much better than the OMP. I think they lost alot of sales because of this. Still happy with my purchase. E180 is a beast. Tail hold is incredible

Fantastic video !! Interested to know: traditional helis always strip main gear, bend shafts when crashed, which is actually a good way to release energy to protect motor, servos and ESC, minimizing repair cost. Then how about direct drive helis? Break motor?
well so far on my M2 i have had many crashes but i never had issues with motor. never broke even tail motor. all good. guess its the way you crash. maybe a very hard crash will actually total the motor
Ali do you think parts are going to be strong at Banggood. After flying both how does the 180 eachine stand up. That's the key having parts. I'm hoping they will listen about the differences about the head. What do you think long time listener keep it coming.

I do not think so. its already chunky and strong. improved in fact. just older design. not a DFC head. just program for 1 servo swash, and add pitch and throttle curves. set gyro values. and you are ok
E180 is using SFHSS system so probably you can use that one. do your research properly again because i would normally not use XK K110 radio for any other helis. its not a precision radio
I see eachine has the 180 in stock but what about parts it looks like the support for the m2 for the USA is fare but it's more expensive by almost 100.00 dollars. Support for setting it up is better at this point for the m2. So based on that Ali which one do you buy.

yes sadly heli tech has not seen improvements. maybe its because its a proven flight system that really does not need any change to it. but good to see that now we have these direct drive systems coming out. hope later they can make blade less helis hahah

after watching your video, i went and purchased omphobby explorer and slso eachine e150 i have too say i'm loving the eachine e150 much better with stock radio, will of to get the omphobby t6 radio as well, i have the radio master tx16s also.
I will be buying the eachine e180 because I can get it for 284 with 3 batteries. Also I can use one radio to fly both my XK k130 and the E180. I have five batteries for the K 130 which will allow for a lot of flight time for both helicopters.
Hey how would you compare the xk k130 to the e180? I'm thinking of buying and I don't know which one to get. The xk has more parts available for my region, but the e180 seems a bit more advanced and a better choice since I'm not going to be upgrading soon after that. Also can I use the xk remote on the e180?
Love your videos Ali. You inspired Me to buy the Ommphy M2 hope I spelt that right. The Eachine doesn’t look bad either. I just bought the blade 130s which isn’t that bad. That bug would of gotten squashed arghhhhhhhhh.

Just follow my video of setting up E160 with OpenTx. i just copied that model for E180 and it worked like a charm. had to tweak the Throttle curves and pitch curves only after that.

Dude the little parts on the rotor head on m2 your saying it's cause it's DFC system and not flybarless like the other midel...dfc in the past was blowing up in hard 3D...i had a 450 align back then and the rotor head just break many times in hard manuvers...im pro pilot on helis and now on racing freestyle drones too...Man I just replaced 4switches on tx16s and I got single switches not the ready two on board cause I would have to wait a month at least.....i managed to find the way to set the switches SC SD on the board which supposed to be for SA SB and MAN IT WAS HELL to figure it out cause if you were just switchin a switch from one position to another it was becoming different name switch...like if you click down SC it was becoming SD....if anyone ever need help with something like that msg me.....good work man I like your channel not only for the products but the way you showing everything is fun and makes your day.

To be honest, I have disabled mid roll ads and non skippable long time ago, but youtube just keeps showing those ads. I myself watch and follow many youtubers and I am also annoyed by the number of ads you have to watch on every TH-cam videos now. So I installed adblocker Extension in my chrome, now nothing bothers me. You should do the same. I am sure my subscribers know this as well that its not my fault.

Go for those have parts easily available and you can get parts easily. :) because for sure you will need parts and repairs :)

Hi, at 8:29 on the video you refer to the DSMX connection on the E180. Would it be possible to bind this heli to a Spektrum DX6e radio? IF yes, how?
DSMX Connection means it supports the Spektrum radios receivers. you will have to add a receiver and then you can use your DX6e

What receiver are you using on M2? I also have RadioMaster TX16S and don't know what receiver to get.
you can download an updated to Radiomaster TX16S that adds OMP Protocol to multi protocol module after which you won't need any receiver.

of course, this is not GPS heli. its a hobby grade hardcore 3D heli. total manual. you need to have real skills to do 3D
