- We had a blast riding with Cheap State Overland and Peach State Overland in the Talladega National Forest. Met some great people and we look forward to getting together again very soon!

Haha yeah, it was nice to NOT be leading the group for a change. Although I did the entire route on a blown pinion bearing and drive home to Memphis the next day. Now that is real pucker factor. Haha
Awesome! My wife and I were in the white Lexus with black headlights from Kentucky. My first time out and loved it. The women in the volvo were awesome!

I know this area but I haven't taken this trail ....yet.. Will be riding soon... I want to run it during the summer and will go again in the fall when leaves change.
It’s an amazing place. I have been going this area for years and just recently found out about it.

Sounds good. I live in Memphis but would love to ride it again. I’d check out Cheap State Overland on Facebook and Peach State Overland in the Atlanta area. That’s who I met up with. Maybe I could plan a small group ride if the other groups don’t work out.

@@michaelvanpelt7797 Was definitely a fun ride. Doing 600-1 and 600-2 in the same day is quite long... so plan on at least 4-5 hours...that's with minimal pee breaks and stops to enjoy the views.
Looks like it was a big time. And the Volvo, ha! That's awesome! Doesn't matter what you got, just wheel it!
That thing was a rigid 3 wheel beast. It did great considering all the rock outcroppings on 600-1

@@Tail_Dragger Honored to serve, many thanks. Eventually we will retire in The Villages, FL; that is our home though vastly different than when we departed. My follow on job will be as a Military Family Life Counselor at one of the military installations in Florida, not sure which one yet. We will do that for a few years and then fully retire to play golf and find some new adventures. The podcasts I have listened to have been very good; opinionated is ok with me.
