Honestly any reduction from the 800ms trade window is great, I'm looking forward to see how it feels there should definitely be less "how did I die" moments I know I have definitely had a few of these moments myself. Great video Fire 👍
Good little video and summation of the changes. Thanks for sharing. Important point though. We need to be very, VERY, clear in the language surrounding the 'issue'. When you say "Your shot was deleted by the server", this was largely not the actual case for the vast majority of situations. A lot of folks don't realize that just because you on your PC Screen see yourself fire a shot from your gun, that does NOT mean the server even registered you taking said shot, so there was no shot to delete or invalidate in the first place. This new tiny trade window will hopefully be much better to allow for some trades, but almost no more high ping late trade nonsense. We can only hope!
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, you’re totally right; this is all based on info the devs put out, and they did call out how complex hit validation can be with how shots get processed and confirmed. From their post, it sounds like the main frustration used to come from cases where a player’s shot didn’t register because they died on the server just a split-second before the hit could go through, so it was kind of “deleted” because of timing. But yeah, definitely not every shot we see on our screen gets registered by the server in real-time, especially with any connection delays. Here’s hoping the 75ms change helps tighten things up for all of us!
Good change. Its bizarre that the window was ever bigger than 120ms, BUT a lot of players especially streamers go toe to toe with shotguns & wonder why they traded or have this presupposition that its due to the window when in reality, you are risking a trade any time you fire at a guy looking at you, and there ought be no remedy other than tactics.
Honestly I never cared about the trade window as long as it made sense. If I’m in the way of a bullet that my opponent shot after I kill him I feel I should die. My only issue came with weird delays with melee where they’d be dead already and then I die after they fall. Likely more related to ping in those cases though and I didn’t get them much.
75 is too short, this will practically disable any cross-atlantic friend groups from playing without a severe disadvantage, even if they have a good connection its still around 100ms. i've considered this a lot, actively. While a large group of people shout "but i shot first i should win" they arent understanding that *all* actions have this delay, including visual. meaning that with 75ms window you can walk around a corner, shoot someone, and even if they shoot back as soon as they see you, if they have 100 ping (which is still highlighted green by the game and does not cause significant issues otherwise) their attack will be deleted. im going to get shit for saying this of course but wait until 2.2, there will be a big uptick in outcries of "where hitreg" and other such.
Is anyone else experiencing something similar to what I’ve been noticing in non trading situations. I’ll shoot at an enemy then duck behind cover only to be headshot and die when you are behind cover or is this just a skill issue? My ping is usually around 50
Ping lock if its less than 200 ms I will not be able to play the game bcs sometimes my internet spikes to more than that And that is one of the reasons that lead me to stop playing tarkov
« Fairness » goes both ways. I’m a European who bought the game in Europe, namely the French-European island of La Reunion in the Indian Ocean. Yet I cannot play on European servers (280ms) without tweaks (I can get down to 160ms, which I get by default in all other games). Europe is where all my friends and family are. There are many other European and British territories in the same case all over the world (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish citizens).
You're doing better videos than most professionals. Awesome work!
wow thank you so much :)

So informative :D You are the way I get my Hunt news
Great breakdown of a complicated system

Really hoping they keep focusing more on bug and UI fixing for a bit. The game needs that more than new content atm
This was very informative for such a small channel. Thanks for the news!
thank you for watching :)
Precise and straigh to the point as all information should be delivered!
More videos like this ❤
beautifully put together update video, could totally see this becoming a top community channel some day

Very good script without water, nice fx and voice... I wonder why this channel haven't blown already?
Liked and subscribed!
Hunt has a lot underfollowed creators, even many of those who have "grown" just have some thousands of subscribers. Only a handful have over 10k
thank you for the kind words, feel free to pass the channel along. Word of mouth is a huge help.
Ping-lock, no more 250 ping box-people abusing the latency? I really hope so.

If you have 200 ping... So f**k you hit register. 🙂

Cool so this also means where there is not close servers like south africa this game would be unplayable. Glad I funded money into this game
Too many bugs
I'm hoping for that ping-lock being tightened, thanks for the update!

La Reunion is outermost region of EU, next to Madagascar, on Indian Ocean. Do you really expect to get good ping to European Continent?
