    Daphne is just glowing. Last week was the spa and now she's hitting the gym and taking gymnastics classes!! Definitely a force to be recognized!

    The Daphne evolution is fun to watch! She just gets better and better!

      I don't know if she can get any better, honestly. I've done gone and run out of stuff to do. Could she be the first Canyon resident that's... done? GASP
      It's unthinkable. I need to go out and swap her servo or something.

    Lol all us viewers have been getting you addicted to the good stuff like squids and dravtech's. Glad to see the progress being made on Daphne

    Thanks for posting this video. After watching it I couldn't help myself and I went and order the Morlordy chassis. It showed up today and after watching your vidoe a few times I was able to see enough of your configutation that I was abole to get mine as a roller in a short time. Just need to layout the electronics now but your video helped a lot. 👍

    I’m really glad I found your channel because you release quality, entertaining and thought-provoking content. Have you considered putting out a video that shows your course building technique or is there already one out there?

    Do you think this chassis is strictly "open wheel", or would it work with all the stock wheelwells/sliders, etc.?

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it would be used to greatest effect built into a Sport Kit/RTR. Would go together super easy, no custom nonsense to maneuver around. And you could get a properly light TRX-4, if such a thing exists.

      @@CrawlerCanyon I may have to try it on my Bronco. It's basically a Sport with a Bronco body. The previous owner swapped the transmission & axles out.

    I can't believe you would even dare mess with Daphne because she was so good but it really seemed to help a lot congratulations

      Why do you think it sat in the box for almost 6 months? I was building up the courage. She got shocks, tires, inserts, motor, and chassis in the span of two weeks, after being "set" for months.

    I think a littler heavier rim for Daphne and she's ready for the tour! Oh, and 4 mm carbon fiber. 200x400mm 46 dollars on ali-express. Looks frame appears to be worth the weight loss.

    One of the reasons I have taken to rock crawling is the challenge of finding that golden zone for each rig, and people say the rocket formula is difficult have never over thought rock crawling. At least the rocket formula has Orbit as confirmation, we just keep looking for harder lines.

    Where can I get those bumpers? 😊 I just bought this chassis. And the shock tower back, you did? Do you have a drawing? 🙏😊 You’re the best. I would love to come visit you. Love the canyon.

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  ปีที่แล้ว

      Daphne's front bumper was the first one I ever welded. It's rough, but it works. The rear is just the STRC bumper delete for TRX-4.
      I made those shock towers ago.

    Daphne doesn't need it but I bought the the TRX4 LCG kit from Injora and it was a pretty easy swap. And for $60 it comes with a lot of parts.

    I wonder what your thoughts are on how this chassis would affect the full fat trx4 defender. Would it give an advantage to unsprung weight or make the body behave heavier ?

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  ปีที่แล้ว

      It would remove some sprung weight and that would certainly help-- but the TRX Defender shell is an absolute unit, weighing in at or around a kilo, even after taking some of the detail bits off. So better by a lil' bit, but we all know that the strength and weakness of the Defender are the same: looks cool as, weighs a ton. A TRX-4 with say... a Creep cab is crazy capable. The Defender is a problem. Anyone running it understands the sacrifices made for vanity.

    I think weight would matter much more on loose surfaces or in instances where your tires have less grip, like being wet or having a tread full of mud. I feel like a super lite might do better in those cases

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Comes back around to contact patch. I think this is why the Deep Woods does so well across the board-- it's soft enough, but also balloon-y enough to float the soft stuff. Opposite spectrum, the Pinseeker is so skinny that it crawls rock better than one would expect (weight focused on a small patch,) but flails in anything soft.

  • @Andy_Yates
    @Andy_Yates ปีที่แล้ว

    I wonder if this works with the full TRX4. I have the 2021 Bronco with the post-free body mounts and it uses the inner fenders to mount the body. Would be pretty sweet to lose a few ounces

    @Crawler Canyon An other great upgrade for Daphne. I need to get my head around the 60/40 sprung/unsprung weight... And the importance of that.

    This or the injora chassis? Which would you choose for a new trx4 build?

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really depends on what you want to do. I have both. The Morlordy is nice because it's just a rail swap-- it just takes off a bunch of weight and leaves everything else about the rig alone. The Injora is an LCG conversion, with all of the fiddling that comes with it. Like, if you have a body already fitted, you can swap in these rails and nothing changes. I would pick the Injora if building up from just a gearbox and axles, like a Jenny's build.

    So C-Man if I buy this frame for my stock TRX4 can I use the factory links and factory skid and shock tower if I wanted to?

      Yep. It's a direct drop-in.

    Its all about weight distribution, does not matter how heavy or light your rig is ....imo

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. Where the weight is is more important than how much weight it is. I never thought I'd see this one under 7lbs RTR, but here we are.

  • @Lokithefeline
    @Lokithefeline ปีที่แล้ว

    any reason to run shocks upsidedown?

    • @CrawlerCanyon
      @CrawlerCanyon  ปีที่แล้ว

      Two things: the weight of the shocks then become unsprung, and more importantly, you lose fluid MUCH more slowly, no matter the quality of the seals.
      Well, also looks cool.
